That's the slogan of the 32nd annual garden party which will be held at the Kirkton fairgrounds on Wednesday, July 21. Activities begin at 6 p.m, with a fastball game followed by the ever popular juvenile contest at 7:30 p.m. and a professional program at 9 p.m. A total of 18 numbers will be presented during the juvenile program with Judy Savoy of CFPL radio and television handling the duties of ad- judicator. During a recent elimination Contest, Miss Savoy trimmed the original 90 contestants down to 18 acts for the garden party. By MRS. WILLIAM ROHDE THAMES ROAD Members of the Exeter 4H calf club toured the United Breeders Association at Guelph, Monday. Those attending from this area were Barry Miller, Cheryl Stewart, Elaine Stewart, Lori Lynn Stewart and Murray Stewart. Sunday, July 25 the annual outdoor church service will be held at Riverview Park Exeter at 11 a.m. Promotion service of the Sunday School members will take place followed by a pot luck dinner. After dinner races, games and a ball game will take place. The, flowers in the church on Sunday were placed there by the family in memory of the late Harold Simpson of Exeter who passed away last week. The sympathy of the community is extended to his wife and family. The late Harold Simpson drove a school' bus for this area. Connie Francis of Kirkton visited a few days last week with Connie Jeffery: Mrs, Bev Alexander and Mrs. Mac Hodgert returned home on Saturday after holidaying in England and Scotland for the past two weeks. Mrs. Marguerite Gibson of One of the contestants will be right at home on the Kirkton stage. She is Kimberley Heather of Kirkton who will be per- forming 'Palling Waters' on the piano. Three numbers from Lucan will be in the show. They are Tami and Terri McRoberts with a vocal duet, "I don't want to play in your yard"; Lori Noyes with a solo rendition of "Ma, he's making eyes at me" and Sheila Jones with an acrobatic dance. An accordion solo will be presented by Diana Verlinde of Hensall and AnnlViarie McQuaid will perform a step dance, From the Granton and St. Marys areas will come four acts. London visited on Saturday with Mr. & Mrs. William Rohde, Joyce Cunnington is holidaying with her uncle and aunt Mr. & Mrs. James Romphf of Arkona, Mr. & Mrs< John Batten of Elimville were Sunday evening guests with Mr. & Mrs. David Passmore. Mr, & Mrs. Glenn Jeffery, Alan and Connie visited on Sunday evening with Mr, Si Mrs. Lorne Luther of Grand Bend. Mr. & Mrs. Stan Preszcator and girls spent Sunday with their son David Glanville and friend in Listowel. Mrs. Stan Preszcator, Brenda and Barbie Glanville visited Monday with Mr. & Mrs. Ed Regele, RR 4 Walton. Brenda remained for holidays, They are Susan Maddock 'and ,Ann Marie Paynter with a baton radicle; Linda. Bryan playing "Spooks" on the piano; Steven Moore and David Scott with a vocal duet and Brenda and Charlotte Miller with "The Merry Bobolink", a piano duet. The professional program will feature Bill Meek from the Pig'n Whistle; The Bradley family from Clinton; Cy and Happy, ventriloquists; magicians Dicky Dean and Marg; teen-age delight Dianne Schneider and hand balancer Harold Bee. Musical directors will be Chris and Ross. Lee Paul will be master of ceremonies for the professional show and brother Gerald will , introduce the juvenile acts. This year's garden party committee is headed by Mrs, Clayton Ross, Mrs, Raymond Paynter and Mrs. Garth Blackler. all Moon descendants. Also several from the USA attended, Due to the absence of Mr. & Mrs. Allen Willsie, president and secretary who;had illness in their family, Mrs. Mary Elliott organized some sports at very short notice. After the sports a bountiful supper was served. Mrs. Mary Elliott conducted the business.
