a varied audience to see the
play, children as well as adults,
The play itself is directed towards
adults but everyone seemed to
enjoy the action and music, Pro-

invited to an opening night

Parasailers
grounded
Parasailing; being towed by a
300 foot line behind a boat while
attached to a parachute for a
bird's eye view of Grand Bend,
was grounded temporarily by
council Monday night after they
received complaints from Harold
Skinner and Dave Reid, both
property owners and beach users
in Grand Bend.
Skinner claimed that the
parasailers were harrassing beach
goers when they were taking off
and landing on the beach, a
violation of their agreement with
the municipality.
Reid cited several instances
when the parachute landed on the
beach, once knocking over a baby
buggy throwing the infant onto
the beach and knocking down an
umbrella onto an elderly couple.
Originally, Caribe Enter-
prises , which runs the
parasa fling operation, had
agreed to launch and land sailers
on a raft moored 500 feet off shore
and that their boat would not
come within 500 feet of the shore.
Council decided to temporarily
suspend the operation until
Caribe begins to use their raft
and stay away from the beaches,
Brenda Glanville. • They
celebrated it at the Walton Inn.
