PLOYElle-, The annual excursion of the
Grand Trunk employeed from Stratford,
Brantford and intermediate stations
took place on Saturday last. An ex-
eursion train of 15 cars, crowded to their
utmost capacity, arrived here at half
past nine o clock, A. M., an/ the party
immediately proceedee to GaWs poen,
the use of which had been obtained for
the occasion. The day wen spent in
dancing and amusements et various
kinds, a numberof prizes being givenfor
races and other games. Refreshments
were furnished on the grounds for those
who had not proyidea for thessuelyes.
A number of the excursionists took
small boats lead wene tisheng in the
harbour and lake. In. the afternoon the
steamen List and ate of 'London gave
excursions on the lake and a number
availed themselves the.oppertunity
to enjoy • delightful mil. At,Ai o'clock
the train left on ft+ return journey, the
band from Stratford playing lively airs
as it moved off. Tho daty was all that
could be desired tor such an eecursion,
the only drawback beipg the deity state,
of the streets. •
