McNaughton.
Danny Sullivan was visited by
George Kennedy of Ilderton; also
Mr. & Mrs. Maurice Melady of
Dublin.
Mrs. Skinner of Exeter visited
Ruby Miners.
Rev. Harold Snell of Exeter
took the church service on
Tuesday accompanied at the
piano by Bob Cameron.
The Kinettes represented by
Sharon Doxlator visited the
residents and presented them with
treats.
Robert Lammie visited Vera
Lammie.
Mrs. A Taylor was visited by
Verna Gibbons of Summerhill.
Mr, Lawrence Wein of Exeter
visited the residents on Tuesday
and led in carol singing.
The Staff party was held on
Wednesday evening. An en-
joyable time was had by all and
an exchange of gifts was followed
by a delicious lunch.

Rev. Stephens 6f Brucefield
was guest speaker at Kippen
East W.I. when they met at the
home of Mrs. Robert Kinsman
with Grace Drummond co-
hostess.
Rev. Stephens read a story "If I
Had Not Come." He then showed
a very interesting and timely film
strip on the Birth of Jesus. He
was introduced by Ruby
Triebner and thanked by Helen
MacLean. Margaret Hoggarth
commented on the motto
"Resolve to take more time to
read as it is the fountain of
wisdom". She mentioned reasons
for reading and stated we should
not read valueless books.
The roll call was answered by a
"Childhood Memory of Christ-
mas" which made us realize
Christmas was much different
in by-gone days -when one
member said she was given
twenty-five cents to buy presents
for three of her family, Ruby
Triebner chaired the program
and Frances Kinsman the
business, opening the meeting
with a poem "Christmas
Carolling".
Proceeds from the Bake Sale
were very gratifying and there
will be a euchre in the Legion
Hall, January 8, 1976 with the
Centre group in charge. The
sewing project was left over until
the January meeting.
The collection was sent to the
Childrens Aid. Frances Kinsman
and Grace Drummond will visit
the Sunshine Sister for January,
Christmas Carols and Songs were
sung throughout the meeting.
Verda Sinclair gave Courtesy
remarks. Mona Alderdice,
Phyliss Parsons and Grace
Drummond were in charge of
lunch. Santa arrived and
distributed the secret pal gifts.
Women's Institute
Kippen East WI held a very
successful Bake Sale in Joynt's
store Hensall, December 14.
Mrs. Vivan Cooper returned

Mrs. John Templeman was
hostess and chairwoman for the
December meeting of the Marian
Ritchie evening auxiliary on
Tuesday night, She opened the
meeting with a verse from a
Christmas Card, "Teach Us to
Live," "Away in a Manger", was
sung and followed' by prayer.
Hazel Harburn read the scripture
from Psalm 24, verses 1-10.
The roll call, Christmas
Thoughts, was answered by 9
members and 1 visitor. The
pianist, Mrs. Ivan Norris, played
two instrumentals, "Winter
Wonderland", and "Up on the
Housetop." Joy to the World was
sung. Mrs. Gordon Scott read the
article, "His Name Was Called
Jesus." The meeting closed with
Silent Night and the Lord's
Prayer.
The 1975 annual meeting
followed, The secretary's annual
report was given by Mrs. Robert
Laing, The treasurer's report,

given by Mrs, Lorne Elliott,
Showed total receipts of $2,412.60
and expenses of $2,408.21. Other
reports were given by Mrs, Larry
Gardiner, Mrs. Ivan Norris, Mrs.
Lloyd Miller, Mrs. Jean Carey,
and Mrs. John Miller. Mrs.
Norman Harburn presented the
slate of officers as follows: past
president, Mrs. Frank Hamilton;
secretary, Mrs. Carter Kerslake;
assistant, Mrs. Lloyd Miller;
treasurer, Mrs. Lorne Elliott;
assistant, Mrs, Eldon Allen,
pianist, Mrs. Ivan Norris;
assistant, Mrs. Duncan Scott;
work committee, Mrs. Lorne,
Elliott, Mrs. Larry Gardiner,
Mrs, Duncan Scottt; program-
mes, Mrs. Carter Kerslake, Mrs.
Eldon Allen, Mrs. Frank

The offices of president and
vice-president were filled from
the floor, with Mrs. J. Carey and
Mrs, J. Templeman being elected
respectively.

conducted Christmas Service in
Carmel Presbyterian Church,
Sunday, with a special Christmas
message. Linda Bell presided at
the organ when Sunday School
led in singing, "Little Drummer
Boy." The Primary Class sang
"Away in a Manger" and
Sandra. Nixon sang a solo "Silent
Night": Bare and Lisa Stretton,
Darlene Faber, Darlene Varley,
Karen •ShieIs, and Sandra Nixon
sang "I*;:f'Yeu Know What You
Hear?" and "We Three Kings".
The three congregations held
the candlelight carol service at
7:30.
After an evening of special
anthems and carol singing the

Charles Mickle of Hamilton is
spending a few days this week
with his mother before flying to
the Caribbean for his Christmas
vacation.

summer? I like the things I
got last year. This, year I
would like a Kodak camera,
some pens, pencels, pad of
paper, binder, desk lamp,
watch and a bible. I gess that
is all for now, I cannot say
any more but I will try to
write a nice letter like this
