Mrs. Claus was worried. "Oh me! oh my, what shall I do? Christmas is almost here and Santa's got pneumonia," cried Mrs. Claus. She wrapped a hot towel around her head. That usually helped her think but the cold air soon made her towel ice cold. She finally got a brilliant idea, She would herself go around giving gifts. The elves were gathered up because Mrs. Claus would need some help. Winky, the smallest, but strongest was to take care of all of Europe with the help of Pinky. Dasher was to go with them. Flimp and Pimp would take. Dancer and travel through. Asia, Dimples and Dumples used Prancer and Vixen to go throughout Africa giving out gifts. South America was handled by Sopey and Dopey as well as Comet, their only way of transportation. Donder was used by Flick and. Quick who went through Australia. Blitzen went through Anarctica with Sandy and Dandy on his back. Rudolph the only one left was used by Mrs. Claus who went throughout North America. Christmas Eve seemed the same that year to the children but to Mrs. Claus it was the busiest night she had ever been through. Christmas Night By ANGELA WRAIGHT Grade 5 Precious Blood School It was the night before Christmas and all was quiet. "The children are all sound asleep," thought Mother. Sean and Michael slept in their bedroom and Angie and Bridget in their bedroom. Really they were not sleeping they were jumping all over their bed and pulling their blankets off their bed. Mother thought they were sleeping like little angels because she could not hear them and she and Dad slept downstairs. The children had been very excited for they had waited for a long time, Finally they settled down and went to sleep. Last night they had discussed a plan. Their plan was to wake up at four o'clock and meet Santa. They decided Sean, the early bird, would wake them at four o'clock on the dot. Finally it was four o'clock Sean woke us all up. Soon we heard a loud thump. It is Santa screamed Michael with joy. Laughter was heard when Santa came down the chimney. Ashes were sprinkled all over the rug. After Santa had given each boy and girl some gifts he left. Before Mother and Father came up the stairs the children rushed into their beds. They played with their brand new toys. The Wraight family had a Merry Merry Christmas. Christmas •Night„, By WILE On Christmas night I was so excited about getting my presents from Santa. So I went to bed early. I was asleep until I heard a noise. I said it's Santa so I went down. I saw Mom and Dad putting the presents under the tree. So I went down and asked Mom and Dad why they were putting the presents under the tree. They said that Santa got sick so I believed them. When I went to school, they said there was no Santa Claus, so I asked Mom and she said it was true that there was no Santa. So from then on I did not believe in Santa Claus.
