The service was preceded by a carol sing led by the choir, A public address system for the church, presented by Mrs. Clare B. Westman in ,memory of her husband was dedicated. The children's story, "Christmas in Trinidad" was interesting to both adults and children. The subject of the minister's sermon was "Candles", Rev. Mclnally used candles as a parable on Christian Life, a new candle which had never given light, was likened to a person who had done nothing in God's ser- vice, the half burned candle had given little, whereas the one that had burned right down, was like a good Christian who was dedicated to serving God. The Sunday School of the United Church put on a sandwich lunch for the congregation, following the service Sunday. A collection was taken and the money to be used towards the pledge made by the church, to support Miss Gollop in her work as a Missionary Nurse in Kenya, St. Thomas Anglican Church At St. Thomas Church Rev.
