Hideaway Now —
for Christmas
By MISS ELLA MORLOCK

Tuesday evening the youth
group of Zion United Church,
Live Love Unlimited, conducted
a successful bake sale and a
parent-teen forum. Under the
guidance of Rev. & Mrs. Bruce
Pierce two impromptu skits were
performed.
Roles were reversed. A
teenager took the part of a
parent, a parent that of a
teenager. Questions were
collected from the group, then
offered by Michael Pierce,
president, for free discussion.
Some of the questions were: Do
I as a teenager have the right to
decide to what places I go? Do
parents have a right to know
where the teenager is going and
when he will be home? Do
teenagers have a right to enter
into a conversation adults are
engaged in? Edgar Cudmore
made a plea for the formation of
a quiz team to take part in the
Youth for Christ Scripture
memorization contest. Lunch
was served under the direction of
Tammy Schenk and Diane Wilds.
Painting co mpleted
The painting of the exterior
trim of Zion United Church has
been completed, except for the
tower which requires special
scaffolding for its finishing. Roy
Finkbeiner, caretaker, Gordon
Morlock and Emerson Wein
removed from the tower and
from behind the louvered ven-
tilators of the attic sixteen plastic
cement bags of refuse brought
there by birds. The men also
repaired the bell which has
swung in the tower since 1896.
