WAITING FOR THE MAN — A large crowd turned out at the annual rabies clinic held in Lucan. So large,
that some people waiting for the inoculation of their pets had to wait outside. T-A photo

Lucan boys win some, lose some
Don't waste a
drop
After the furnace, the water heater is the biggest user of energy in your
home. Waste hot water, and you're wasting valuable energy.
That's a good reason for getting full value from your water heater in
every way you can. By fixing leaky faucets.
By insulating long runs of hot water pipe.
By waiting until you have a full load before you
switch on the clothes or dishwasher. By using
cold or coot water when it will do the job.
By taking shorter showers or shallower baths,
By making sure that all the hot water that
eventually goes down the drain works hard for
you before it goes.
The Cascade electric JO%
water heater gives you a
dependable supply Of hot water
and it makes good use of all (1);•
the energy it consumes. But it's
up to you to use hot water
wisely, Don't waste a drop.

crossed for the $1,000.00 draw in
December — sure could use it,
Had the privilege to visit
Legion House in Ottawa last
week, sure was nice to speak with
members of Dominion Com-
mand. Had an interesting talk
with the chap in charge of
membership — brother has he
got problems — he showed me
some snarly letters he has
received from Branch Mem-
bership Chairmen — and it all
boiled down to the Membership
Chairman supplying the wrong
information to be processed. So it
would be well Comrades to
double check all submissions
prior to 'dirty word' mailing.
On the way home managed to
visit several branches up in the
Ottawa Valley, Let me tell you
friends, my Legion Membership
Card meant instant friendship.
We would walk into a branch a
stranger, show my card, sign the
register, and almost immediately
some member would come over
to our table and right away You
were made to feel at home. It has
been my observation during my
travels that this is true wherever
there is a Legion, In Canada,
Great Britain, you are
always made welcome,. I wonder
what other organization can
make the same claim,
Dave Inglis name was drawn
for the pot (3' Gold, However he
failed to register which allows the
Pot to grow for at least another
week. By next Saturday it should
be worth about $150.00 which
would mean around $75.00 to the
winner.
Maybe just maybe next week!!
And that's 30 for this week "—
Remember— Todays dime is
really a dollar with the taxes
