Carmel have every reason to be proud of the high goals their daughter, Jane, has set for herself. Last June, Jane received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Sciences from the University of Western Ontario, and her achievement marked the end of a successful but hectic period in her life. In the school year of 1969-1970, Jane was enrolled in a languages programme at the University of Waterloo, While there, she met Mr. John Gillespie, who later became her husband. Jane left Waterloo at the end of her first year, when they decided to live and work in Toronto. After spending two years in that city, the couple moved to London, and in 1972, Jane enrolled in a Social Sciences programme at Western. Unfortunately, due to a dif- ference of the credit policies at Western and Waterloo, the credits Jane acquired at Waterloo could not be used towards her Degree at Western, Nevertheless, by taking six-week summer courses, Jane completed a 3-year Degree in only 2 years, No sooner had she received her Degree it June, but along came the couple's first child, a boy, Shawn, born in July. Although Jane plans to stay at home this year to take care of Shawn, she's planning to go to Althouse Teacher's College next year, and hopes to teach special education in the elementary level, particularly kindergarten. The couple now live in the Crediton area, where John is employed With the Canada Manpower Agency. Not one, but two Weddings have; kept the Hubert Carey family of Mt.
