So please, show a little con- sideration. Thank You! Yours sincerely, 'SHAHS Lawn" P.S. My friend the parking lot has asked me to put in a word for him, too, He's depressed because kids are turning him into a gar- bage dump. There are garbage containers - use them. Keep SH- AHS beautiful. Thanks! just don't think before they throw away their candy wrappers, chip bags and cigarette butts. They work their way in between my blades of grass and they stink! Next time you throw garbage on me, think first what it would be like Editorial Spare us the trouble Dear Editors: Hi! I've got something to gripe about and I figured that the "Guardian" was the best place to air my grievances. Lately, the kids from SHAHS have put me down in the dumps by their carelessness. Usually, I'm a peaceful soul, content to bask in the sun, bothering nobody - but lately I've been getting a hassle from the students, School has only been going for two months and already I'm a mess, Anyone passing in front of the school looks upon me with disdain, disgusted with the picture that I present. Why? Because I'm full of garbage! Now, I know that the students of SHAHS know better, but they Students conversation — "My dad wants me to have everything he didn't have when he was young . . . like all A's on my report card." Have you noticed recently those large and small groups of kids plotting and scheming together during their spare time. Everyone seems to be obsessed with the idea that they must contribute some annoying activity to October. Frequently you'll hear some known authority stating that this will be the worst Halloween, in history. The known authorities' reasons are it's a Friday night - there's going to be a full moon - and of course it's Halloween, the natural disturbance day of the year. If someone who has already made plans hears these remarks they're going to get additional ideas. It's like getting permission to get into more tfouble than you've already planned, because now its expected of you. Halloween night has always proved to be interesting and this year is no exception. The Student Council has chosen October 31 as the night for their Grease Dance. I've heard people's opinions on this; most are not approving, They think its the worst possible night to hold any kind of gather- ing. They have a good case, it will be a place for kids to congregate and then go out and do their thing. The dance is just an excuse to get out of the house and raise trouble. With that in mind its up to the kids to decide what they're go- ing to do that night. The prefects at the dance are going to have the usual problems and do not need the added responsibilities of peo- ple that just haven't grown up yet. This also goes for the police of Exeter who get the customary Friday Night difficulties. If you have to get rid of you're extra energy that particular night, dance it off, go rake leaves with a fork, or beat up a pillow. Lets keep this Halloween down to a minimum of trouble. 1111111111111111•11111111111011.11111111111111ML, By DONNA FLEMING You can suffocate a thought by expressing it with too many words, Even if you're on the right track you'll get run over if you just sit there.
