After colliding with a car on Lucan's Main street, a tractor trailer transport jacknifed and went over the sidewalk and came to a halt only a few feet from the library building. The transport driver was James A. Gilberton of Guelph while Helen J. Cunningham, RR 2, Lucan was the operator of the car. That's the invitation.extended for some events, but it's actually what some members of the Lucan volunteer fire department did Saturday night, The firemen were attending a Halloween masquerade dance at the Lucan Legion at about 11 p.m. when they were called to a fire at the farm of Art. Cunningham, a mile west of Lucan. Chief Wes Hickson and about eight of his volunteers charged to the fire in their Halloween costumes.
