annual meeting and the following

Tuesday evening's meeting of
the teen growl "Live Love
Unlimited" featured a
hyPOthetiCal sitnatien with a view
to learning decision making in a
groo relationship. Each group,
faced with the extinction of the
community in which they were
living, had to decide, first what
ten objects, then what five, to
take on a flight to another planet.
Interestingly, all four groups
decided to take a Bible.
Larverne Heywood and his son
are engaged in painting the ex-
terior trim of Zion United
Church.
Grandparents were present at
christening ceremonies for their
grandchildren Sunday, Mrs.
Lloyd Rqeszler was at Grand
Bend United Church for the
christening of Matthew Allen
William Miller, son of Mr, & Mrs,
Glenn Miller. Rev. & Mrs. Armin
Schlenker and Mary Ellen were
in Kitchener where Christopher
Kenneth Dedman, son of Mr. &
Mrs, Ken Dedman, was
christened,

Oestricher spent the weekend in
Windsor with Mr. & Mrs, Ed
French, Clara and Matilda
Oestricher.
Rev. Bruce Pierce conducted
the chapel service at the
Bluewater Rest Home Sunday
evening, Special music in song
was provided by Mrs. Peter
Martin, Mrs, Pierce, Ella
Morlock and Cecil Skinner, Mrs.
Ed Finkbeiner played the organ.
Nola Faist has returned from a
two-week stay with Rev, & Mrs,
Fred Faist, Stratford, and Mrs.
Robert Hilborn and Cathy,
Orangeville. Sunday she visited
with Mrs. Emerson Wenzel,
Listowel.
Word has been received of the
death of Mrs. Parrott, wife of
Rev, W. C. Parrott, who served
Crediton United Church 1950 to
1955.
Randy Smith, Calgary, is
spending a week with his parents,
Mr. & Mrs. Alf Smith.

humanitarian, Mrs, Lillian

London, were Sunday visitors

The Dashwood 4-H girls club
no. 3 who call themselves Flour
Power held their third meeting at
Mrs. Delmar Miller's home.
Following opening exercises,
Mrs, miller discussed batter
breads, and convenience yeast
products. With the assistance of
the girls and Mrs. Inthout, she
demonstrated the preparation of
brown batter rolls,
While the roll dough was
rising, Mrs. Miller showed the
girls a cook book published in
1882. During the baking, the girls
compared the prices of different
types of pizzas. The rolls were
delicious for lunch served with
cheese and orange juice.
LLL Rally
Sixteen members of Zion
Lutheran church attended the
Lutheran Laymen's League fall
rally at St. John's Lutheran
church Wartburg, October 22.
The speaker for the evening was
John Daniels, Kitchener, who
showed a film and spoke on the
Lutheran Laymen's League. The
theme of the rally was, "Alive in
Christ."

The October U.C.W. was held in
the church basement, Mrs. Rea

Urquhart. Mrs. Norris Atthill and
Mrs. Jack Switzer read scripture
passages. Mrs. Wallace Selves
led in prayer. Mrs. Jeff Robinson
was guest speaker.

Rally held in Stratford Coliseum
October 16, The theme was "You
got to stop and smell the roses."
Senior Citizens enjoyed their
first afternoon of euchre for the
season at the Kirkton-Woodham
Community Centre, Tuesday
afternoon. There will be one
again next Tuesday afternoon at
2 p.m.
Mr. & Mrs. Burns Blackler and
Mr. & Mrs. Robt. Robinson have
returned home from a sixteen
day holiday in England and
Scotland.
Flowers in St. Pauls' Anglican
Church Sunday morning were in
memory of Mr, Claire Sisson who
died suddenly last Tuesday.

family attended a surprise
twenty-fifth wedding anniversary
celebration for her aunt Mr. &
Mrs. Orville Harris, London, The
dinner was held in Chiselhurst

Thursday. .evening at the home of
Mrs. Garth Blackler. Mrs.
Gerald Paul read the scripture
lesson. Plans were finalized for
the bazaar. Lunch was served by
Mrs. Bob Wilcox and hostess.
Mrs. Rev. Elliott has returned
home after being a patient in
Stratford General and St. Marys
Memorial hospitals. Mrs. Myrtle
Hanna has been released from St.
Marys Hospital and is staying
with her granddaughter in
Stratford.
