these scholarly girls, the boys

Another scholar which this area

honour graduation diploma, she
walked away with no less than
nine awards symbolizing her vast
achievements while at North
Middlesex. The General
Proficiency Award for year five,
a Ministry of Education Ontario
Scholar Diploma and award, and
an Ontario Scholar Plaque, were
just a few of her rewards. Mary
Ann is now attending the Fan-

study. Dianne Hodgins, who is
now attending Centralia College,
received the Parkhill-Ailsa Craig

Mary Van Osh received the
school system and the close
relationship that must be kept
between the parish, home and
school, and as well,he gave some
insight into the progress being
made in adapting of courses to
suit various levels of learning
capacity. Mr. Easton com-
plimented the highly qualified
and devoted Mt. Carmel staff. He
stressed the necessity of staff
unity and of considering all
people who help to keep the
school functioning properly ae
staff members. He added his
thanks to Mrs. Marian Sullivan,
the school secretary, and Mr. Bill
Regier, the custodian, both of
whom were heartily thanked 'by
Sister Viola and the entire staff
earlier in the evening. He also
singled out Mr. Greg Flemming
and assured the audience that
Mr. Flemming, as their
representative on the Board of

This season's first meeting of
the Parent Teacher's Association
for the Mt. Carmel School was a
great success and was well at-

prosperous year for both them
and their pupils. They also ex-
pressed their intentions to
promote individualism and a
sense of responsibility in their
students, as well as their desire to
bring out the personal creativity
in each student.
It was announced that on this
Friday, October 31, at one
o'clock, the grade seven class
will be presenting an assembly

attend are very welcome to do so.
Also, Mrs. McQuillan, the
school's kindergarten teacher
happily announced that the
twenty-seven pupils attending
kindergarten is the largest
number in the schools history.
Grades five to eight are also in
great enough numbers this year
to warrant the separation of these
grades into one class of each.
The highlight of the meeting
was the excellent speech by the
guest speaker, Mr. Alexander
Easton, who is the Superin-
