Evening Auxilary Mrs. Ivan Norris opened the October meeting of the Marian Ritchie Evening Auxilary with a call to Worship, meditation and prayer and hymn 108 was sung. The roll call was answered by a verse on Praise. Mrs. John Miller read the scripture from Psalm 100, followed by the meditation on singing, The offering was received and dedicated by Mrs. Norr is, Mrs. Robert Laing was in charge of the study book chapter on minority groups in the world including the Koreans in Japan, ethnic groups such as the Ukrainians and Chinese in Canadian cities, Indian Canadians and the Hill tribes of Taiwan. The topic, Faith Makes People Strong, was taken by Mrs. John Miller. Mrs. Carter Kerslake led a contest of Biblical names. The meeting closed with hymn 475, and the Lord's Prayer. 4-H Meeting 5 of the Staffa "Sew & Sews" was held Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Charles Douglas. The meeting opene'd with the 4- H pledge followed by the roll call "What have you decided to make for your free choice article?" Jeana Elliott gave the secretary's report. Mrs. John Wallace and Mrs, Douglas demonstrated the Satin Stitch, Sheaf Filling Stitch and the French Knot. "An idea for your club Achievement Day presentation" was the roll call for the sixth meeting of Staffa No. 2's "Sew & Sews". Bonnie Norris opened the meeting with the pledge after which Jeana Elliott gave the secretary's report. Dow, went to the Fall Conference of Stratford Presbyterial W.M.S. which was held in Knox Church, North Easthope, on Thursday. Alec Scott spent the weekend with a friend in Thunder Bay.
