TEMPLEMAN STAFFA Philip and Alec James returned home Friday after visiting with Mr. & Mrs. Graham Wark and family at Killarney, Manitoba. They had to delay their departure for home for a couple of days due to a bad snow storm in Manitoba early last week. Mr. & Mrs. Rob Templeman, Tim Templeman, Mr, & Mrs. John Templeman and family, attended a family gathering at the Orange Hall in Mitchell Saturday evening. The dinner was hosted by Mr. & Mrs. Wilfrid Annis. Mrs, Sam Norris, Mr, & Mrs. Bob Norris and family, visited Sunday with Mr. & Mrs. John Burleigh and family, Goderich. Mr. & Mrs. Alvin'Kemp, Mr. & Mrs, Lorne Elliott and Mr. & Mrs, John Templeman attended Cavell anniversary on Sunday and were dinner guests of Mr. & Mrs, Will Sillery, Exeter. Mr. & Mrs. Murray Haines Digby, Nova Scotia visited on the weekend with Mr., & Mrs. Philip James. They are motoring to Comox, British Columbia where Murray has been posted. Other visitors at the James home were, Mr. & Mrs. Roger Haines, Blyth; Miss Kathy Lyon and Bob Copeland, London; Greg Lyon and friend, North Bay. Ruth Templeman visited on the weekend with Joanne Ross, London. Mrs. Charles Douglas, Mrs. Carter Kerslake, Mrs. John Templeman and Mrs. John Miller, attended the Perth South District officers banquet ,at Motherwell Church on Mondaye evening. Rev, Beaton administered the rite of baptism to Joel Daniel son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Smith during the service in the United Church on Sunday morning, Mrs. Smitti, the former Janice Abbott, was welcomed into church mem- bership by transfer from Lucan United Church. We welcome the Smith family to this community. Seniors meet Senior Citizens enjoyed an afternoon of cards and crokinole in the community centre on Monday followed by lunch. Euchre party Mr. & Mrs. Tom Kooy and Mr. & Mrs. Ralph Lightfoot were in charge of the euchre party in the community centre on Monday night. Mrs. Georgina Webster captured the high score for ladies; lone hands, Mrs. Jim Gaunt; low Mrs, Verna Ramsay. Men's high score, Harry Carroll; lone hands, Norman Lewis; low, Murray Neil; Mr. & Mrs, Murray Neil and Mr. & Mrs. Roy Swartz will convene the next party on November 3,. Personals. Mr. & Mrs, Lloyd Vogan and their daughter Mrs, Dale Taylor and Shawn of Listowel were Sunday visitors with Mr. & Mrs. Fred Cunnington. All had dinner together at Bartliffs in Clinton in celebration of the forty-eighth wedding anniversary of Mrs, Vogan's parents, Mr. and Mrs, Fred Cunnington. The couple were feted on Friday 'and Saturday evenings as well. Sunday evening dinner guests with Mr, & Mrs. Tom Kooy were Mr. & Mrs. Maurice MacDonald, Grand Bend; Mr. & Mrs. Peter Sovereign and family, Mr. & Mrs. Howard MacDonald and family, Lucan; Mr. & Mrs. Clayton Kooy and family, Huron Park. Mr. Lawrence Hirtzel was on a hunting and fishing trip last week with Bill Hirtzel, Exeter; Charles Sims, Crediton and Paul Baker of London. They spent part of the week in the Cobalt area and returned to North Bay for the balance of their time. Jeff, Daryl and Steven Greb were weekend visitors with their grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Ken Greb, while their parents, Mr. & Mrs. Wayne Greb, were in Chalk River attending the Stringer- Tennant wedding. Mr. & Mrs. Orville Taylor of Brockville visited on Saturday with Mr. & Mrs. Cecil Lewis and returned Sunday. Mr. & Mrs. Orville Taylor and David, Brock- ville visited Saturday with Mr. & Mrs. Cecil Lewis and returned Sunday with Mrs. Ernie Lewis, London, and visited with Mr. & Mrs. Arnold Lewis and family. Mr. & Mrs. Ken Carter, Mr. & Mrs. George Lee spent Sunday in Harriston visiting with Mr. & Mrs. Dick Parker, who have both been confined to hospital. Mr. Parker suffered a heart attack and Mrs. Parker fell and dislocated her shoulder, The Parkers have been released from hospital. Sunday Mr. & Mrs. Tom Kestle entertained Mr. & Mrs. D. Kestle and Mrs. Ken Ross and Steven in their new home in London. Don't forget the Supper at the United Church on October 28. A group of young people in the community hoping to fix the Maple Lodge School and Mrs. Olive Ovens has begun by tidying up around the Shrubbery Mr. & Mrs. Ralph Simpson, London, who visited with the Fords in Flint also visited with Mrs, William Simpson on Sun- day. Master Shayne Williams, Lobo has been staying with his grandparents Mr. & Mrs, R. Williams, for a few days. Don't forget the dance at the arena for Hazel and Wayne McLeod Friday night, Sympathy is extended to the Earl Morgans on the loss of a nephew Charlie Thompson who was killed in a car accident recently, Sunday evening Mr. & Mrs. Gerald Millson entertained Mr. & Mrs. Eugene Glavin and Leona, Huron Park, Mr. & Mrs. C. Millson, Misa Brenda Scott was soloist at ClandeboyeitI,C, Sunday. Mr. JimRobertsoil is taking a week's holiday and Jim and Andy spent the day in Fergus Monday.
