DALEY'S WEEKLY COMMENTS
Popular music
Remember folks the ever
popular Peoples Choice will be at
the Lucan Legion Hall on
Saturday, October 18 to entertain
you,
If it is your intention to attend,
please pick up your tickets, now,
From all reports they are going
quickly — however there are a
few left.
Been to the races recently?
They were running at Branch 540
last Saturday night and the folks
inhattendance had a real fine time`:
— So come on over to Branch 540
where the Action is.
Autumn leaves are beautiful
while on the trees but become
dangerous on the ground. So
drive with extra care when
leaves are making slippery
patches on the roadway.
Another of the aims of good
driving is not to come in first, or
second, but always.
As the days become shorter one
of the most dangerous times of
day driving is dusk, when sight
distances are quite misleading.
The best way to combat this
situation is to turn on your low
beam headlights at dusk . . . not
your parking lights, It's the law.
Be safe by being seen.
Just a couple of driving hints
for this season of the year — sure
hope they assist.
Comrade Dr. Hall's name was
drawn for the Pot O'Gold, but he
not being registered allows the
pot to grow, at least until
Saturday.
and that's 30 for this week.
Remember — Lacquer can be
used to finish a car , • . so can
liquor.
Lucan United"
Sacrament of Holy Communion
was celebrated on Sunday
morning in Lucan United
Chjirch. Rev. Madden, speaking
from Revelation and from
Matthew told his congregation
that the first robe God asks us to
put on is the robe of white,
signifying our desire for change,
to shed all sin. Gathering at the
Communion Table reminds us
that He, who was without sin,
took our sins upon Himself,
taking them to the cross.
Next Sunday, Thanksgiving,
Sacrament of Infant Baptism will
be held and the parents' will meet
with Mr. Madden from 8 to 9 on
Thursday evening.
C.G.I.T. 60th anniversary will
be remembered at morning
worship on October 19 with
members of the Lucan-
Clandeboye group taking part.
