Coven Presbyterian Church was the setting for the July 26 wedding of
Delores (Dolly) Munn and George A. Durham. Rev. Jarvis conducted
the ceremony. Bridesmaid was Marion Durham, sister-in-lcvk of the
groom and junior bridesmaid was Bernadette Peckham, eldest grand-
daughter of the bride, Best man was Lawrence Durham, brother of the
groom and Dennis Munn, son of the bride, was an usher. The bride's
youngest son, Kevin Munn, gave the bride away. Following a wedding
trip to Stokes Bay, the couple took up residence at 35 Downing Cres-

Goderich Phsychiatric Hospital
led by Gordon Harrison provided
a musical prograni on "Family

Night". The twelve member band
play a variety of instruments
including violin, mouth organ,
xylophone and vocal solos. Mr.
Nelson Lear thanked the en-
tertainers on behalf of the
residents.
The fifteen member Huronview
RhythmBand accepted an in-
vitation to take part in Friday
afternoon's variety program at
the Blyth Threshers Reunion.
Thirty residents travelled by
bus to Blyth on Saturday af-

MR. AND MRS. RONALD SCOTT
St, Mary's AngliCan Church was the setting for the August 23 wedding
of Merna Jean Carter and Ronald Charles Scott. The bride is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Carter of Exeter and the groom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Scott of Ailsq Craig. Rev. Fred Ralph con-
ducted the service. Maid of honour was Lynda Scott, sister of the
groom with bridesmaids Gladys Lewis, sister of the bride and Carolyn
Broom, niece of the bride. Flowergirl was Janet Lewis, niece of the
bride, Paul Hodgson was best man while Bill Wasnidge and Larry Scott
were ushers. Jimmie Craig, a nephew of the bride, was ringbearer. The
couple will reside at RR 3, Ailsa Craig, Pix by Peake
Couple mark
anniversary
The UCW of the Exeter United
Church honoured the Rev, Hugh
and Mrs. Wilson on the occasion
of the 50th anniversary of their
wedding September 5. with a
public reception in the parlour of
the church.
A group of very fine women
provided refreshments for more
than four hundred visitors and a

were present, Relatives came
from Vancouver, B.C.,
Indianapolis, Ind., Toronto,
Fergus, Teviotadale, Edmonton,
St. Marys and Mitchell. This
group of the VCW was under the
direction of Mrs. Vern Pincombe,
Mrs. Earl Russell, president,
welcomed the visitors at the door.
Laurel and Hugh Wilson were
married in the little Luton United
Church. The father of the bride,
Rev. E. A. Shaw was the of-
ficiating minister. He was
assisted by the brother-in-law of
""`fM the grobm, Rev.Fiarik ReYbraft;
and the minister of the church,
Rev. Wesley Moores.
• The young couple were given a
warm welcome in their first
charge in Tobermory. Mrs,
Wilson as a Registered Nurse,
was particularly acceptable for
the nearest doctor resided in
Lion's Head, some thirty miles
distant, and over a road that was
always difficult and at some
seasons impassable.
Two happy years were spent in
the little Tobermory parsonage,
enduring friendships were made
and the church prospered in
meaningful ways.
In 1927 a move was made to the
Oakland 'Charge in the Hamilton
conference. Two children were
born during this pastorage, Ruth
and John. Rev.Wilson was
honoured by the BrantiPresbytery
and was made chairman. In 1934
he was elected Secretary of the
Conference Settlement Com-
mittee.
The year 1935 brought the
Wilsons to Huron County, where
they served at Auburn, Brussels,
Wesley-Willis, Clinton and on
the Thames Road Charge.
Rev.Wilson has served the,
Huron Presbytery in significant
committee work, and as a
member of the Conference
Committee for a number of years
and as Secretary of this Com-
mittee for some time.
Since retirement he has
supplied at Goderich, Victoria
St., Belgrave, Granton, Lucan
and James St., Exeter.
Huron county is home to them
now and they can think of no
place they would rather be. Their
gratitude is extended to all who
have made this Anniversary such
a happy occasion.

day, September 6 in Exeter United Church with Rev. H. Snell of-
ficiating. Kathryn is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Kirk, Exeter.
Gerald is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Bridger, London. Matron of
honor was Mrs, Betty Bowerman, Huron P&k. Trudy Stagg, Hensall
and Mrs. Leona Macintosh, Mt. Carmel, were bridesmaids. Gary
Lawrence, Hensall was best man while Larry Robinson, RR 2, Lucan and
Don Kirk, brother of the bride, were ushers. Bob Macintosh was guest
organist. After their wedding trip the couple will reside at 460 Main
