K Shop Our Used Car Market Greys reach final round The Exeter Greys came up with one of their best per- formances of the season Tuesday night as they qualified for the district ladies softball finals, The Greys downed the defending champs from Blan- shard 16-3 in the deciding game of a best-of-three series. Blanshard won the first game 16-14 and the Greys evened matters by a score of 14-9. The Exeter club now meets Downie in a best-of-five final. The first game will be played at St. Pauls tonight, Thursday at 7.15 p,m. The second game will be back in Exeter early next week. John Gould, now a member of the Vancouver Canucks of the National hockey league was in Exeter to visit his namesake, John Gould of town. The Exeter John is also a hockey player, He was the goalie with last year's Exeter juveniles. The two met in Exeter at a hockey banquet when the present Vancouver performer was with the London Nationals the year before they became the Knights. Asked about his club's chances this year, Gould said he expected the team would perform better this year. He added "We are bound to improve. Last year we only had three players who had previous playoff experience." "Being in the playoffs for the first time was an experience in itself, We don't have a French Connection line or anything like that but just 21 players who want to play hockey," he continued.
