Mrs. Ross MacMillan and daughter Ann visited Thursday with her mother Mrs. Laird Mickle, Mrs. MacMillan and family, from Waterloo have been holidaying for the past six weeks at Southcott Pines near Grand Bend, Mr. & Mrs. Brian Collins, Kitchener, and baby Sarah spent Friday and Saturday with the latter's mother, Mrs. Laird Mickle. Mrs, Laird Mickle, Mrs. Florence' Joynt and Charles Mickle, Hamilton were guests on Sunday and Monday with Dr. & Mrs, Robert Mickle London. Don Dodds, Sim Roobol and Cornelius Roobol attended the registered cattle sale in Kit- chener stock market on Satur- day. Mrs, Sim Roobol was admitted to South Huron Hospital last Saturday in the interests of her health. Mr. Cornelius Roobol left on Tuesday for his native Holland after a six weeks stay with Mr. & Mrs. Sim Roobol. He enjoyd his stay in Canada very much and visited many points of interest. Mr. & Mrs. Ed. Barrett, New Jersey, visited with Mr. & Mrs. Harvey Hyde and other relatives in the area, Visitors with Mr. & Mrs, Gordon Schwalm last week were Mr. & Mrs. Jim McCully of Kincardine, Mr, & Mrs. Casey Hudson and family, Mr. & Mrs. Cecil Robb, Lucan, Mr, & Mrs, Ray Dyke and daughter Katrina, Goderich, Mr. & Mrs. Art Coombs, Clinton, Mr. & Mrs. 0. Baird, Toronto, Mrs, Phyllis Mountford, Clinton, Mr. .& Mrs. Michael Welch, London and Rev, & Mrs. Stephenson of Kakabeka Falls. Mrs, Elizabeth Volland and Mr. & Mrs. Louis Taylor of Varna spent a week's holiday at Kin- cardine. Mrs. Eldon Johnston • and daughter Leota visited with Mrs. Volland on Sunday, Mrs, Terry Ivey and her grand- daughter Gail Ivey of Montreal and Mr. & Mrs. Desmond Ivey of Sarnia visited Mrs. Daisy Ivey. Andrew Mason Huron Park spent a week with his grand- parents Mr. & Mrs, John Skea. Mrs, Eddison Forrest is a patient in University Hospital. Amber Rebekah Lodge will resume their fall meetings on Wednesday September 3rd at 8:15, The meeting will be followed by a "Pot luck" lunch. The president Mrs. Carol Penhale was emcee for the af- ternoon and introduced the following numbers: Scottish dancing by Heather and Elise Lindsay; accordion solos by Kathy Potter; Molly Cox led a sing-a-long, sang two solos and accompanied Mrs. Drivers with violin selections; Karen Bolger and Laurie Alexanders provided their own guitar accompaniment for vocal solos. Mrs. Hamilton celebrated her 101st birthday this month and had the honour of being the eldest celebrant. Mrs. McGratton who was celebrating her ninety-fifth birthday thanked the ladies on behalf of the residents and bir- thday cake and tea was served to 150 residents and guests. Fifty residents of the home along with their drivers took in the movie at Brownies Drive-In Theatre on Tuesday evening compliments of the owner Mr. Lorne Brown, Sixteen cars were provided by members of the staff and volunteers, The night out was appreciated' very much by the residents especially those who were attending a drive-in theatre for the first time.
