Crediton couple wed 50 years,
honored for role in community

Stampede was exciting and
colourful, as were Klondike Days
at Edmonton,
"It was a thrill to see the
mountains, so vast and so
many," said Mrs. Finkbeiner.
"Canada is beigger than we in
Ontario realize."

Mr. & Mrs. Emmery Fahrner
of Creditors, celebrated their
fiftieth wedding anniversary
Sunday, July -27 with a reception
tin the Sunday School rooms of
Zion United Church. They have
been active members of the
church throughout their lifetime,
serving in the choir and devoted
to the work of the church. Mrs.
Fahrner taught a Sunday School
class and was organist and choir
leader for many years.
The room was suitably
decorated with flowers, cards of
congratulation, streamers and
ornaments of gold. Friends and
relatives were present from
Kitchener, Paris, London,
Ottawa, Toronto, Grand Bend,
Zurich, Dashwood, Exeter and
Michigan. Ladies of the U.C.W.
group of which Mrs. Fahrner is a
member served lunch.

Heist were married June 10, 1925,
Rev. William Dreier officiating.
Roy Finkbeiner and Lily Fahrner
were the attendants.
Mr. Fahrner was clerk in the
Charles Zwicker General Store,
then, with Mrs. Fahrner,
operated an egg grading and

tieth wedding anniversary
celebration of Mr. & Mrs,
Emmery Fahrner. Next Sunday
Edgar Cudmore is to be guest
speaker. Sunday School classes
will be conducted at the regular
hour,
Mr. & Mrs. Joe Varley ac-
companied Mr, & Mrs. Karl
Ohrnayer, Grand Bend, to Saline,
Michigan, to attend the Braun,
Armbruster wedding.. The groom
is a great grandson of the late
Mrs, Albert Fahner's sister. Mr.
Gottleib Walker of Muir,
Michigan, returned with the
party and is spending a few days
at the Ohmayer home,
Mr. & Mrs. Gordon Harding of
El Toro, California, and Mrs,
Verne Twitchell of Hensall were
guests of Mr, & Mrs. Lorne
Preszcator last Tuesday, Lorne is
their nephew.
Sunday, Mr. & Mrs. Preszcator
and their sons were guests of Mr,
& Mrs. Ron Harris and family of
Rexdale, at their Kincardine
cottage.

for receiving honours in her
grade eight piano and grade two
theory examinations from the
Royal Conservatory, Toronto.

orange kitten which spends all its
time in the dog's pen. He looks on
indulgently while it eats from his

BREEZY BIRD FLIES AGAIN — The days of leather helmets, scarves,
goggles and intrepid flyers will come to life again at the Exeter Lions
air show on August 16 and 17 when Bert Dandy, Toronto, will fly in his
great Breezy Bird. Perched on the end of bare tubing and seat straps,
Bert will display the versatility and fun of good old-time aviation. His
