Friday ten children of the senior playground along with two staff members biked out to Grand Bend and back. The going out proved to be rough since we rode out against the wind. However, once we reached Port Blake the participants soon forgot their aches and were ready for lunch. The staff would like to extend thanks to Mrs. Raymond for bringing the lunches out to us, Mrs. Livingstone for use of her backyard and picnic table and to Mr. Tuckey for the refreshing pop he supplied. This week is a busy week of sports events. Wednesday the intermediate and senior groups are going to Huron Park for a track meet. Friday Huron Park is returning for a baseball game in the afternoon. Also Friday the Huron Country Playhouse is presenting a Children's Play in the gym of the arena at 10:00. Everyone is welcome to attend this presen- tation. The readers write Dear Sir: Last Friday I refereed a game in the North American Midget Cup and was impressed in two areas. The North American Midget Cup is symbolic of soccer supremacy in North America at the eight year old level. The Exeter team has achieved a place in the top one hundred in the North American Continent, and from the way they are going it looks as though they will be reaching the top thirty-two. This is due to the hard work of the boys and their coach. Secondly, the game on Friday must have witnessed the largest turn out for a single soccer game in Exeter, The spectators were not only parents from London and Exeter, but also incidental spectators from the town itself. I am sure that the boys were encouraged by such a turnout. I would like to congratulate both the team and its supporters, and would also like to encourage the people of Exeter to give support to their under eight year old soccer team, all the way to the North American Finals. The best wept° find the times for the games is in the T-A. Yours sincerely, Dave Zyluk. Say farewell at Centralia By MRS. FRED BOWDEN Mr. & Mrs. E.
