Church news
In the absence of Rev. Mary
Mclnally who is on a two weeks
study break in Lindsay, the
United Church welcomed back
Mr. Percy White as guest
speaker at the morning service,
Sunday. Mr. White also con-
ducted the service.
He is a former member of the
congregation now residing in
London. The message was very
inspiring, entitled "Life as I see
it" and dealt with the current
situation of strikes and inflation
etc.,asking the question "What
woud happen, if God went on
Strike?"
In closing the speaker left this
advice "Spend your life and end
up in a blind alley, Invest your
life, and it will be enriched by
God's grace, Man is master of his
own Destiny."
Mr. White was accompanied by
his wife Helen, and at the con-
clusion of the service many
acquaintances were renewed.-
