By MRS. E. SUMMERS The Granton fire department answered a call Monday af- ternoon during a severe thun- derstorm. A fire had started in one of the Revington barns on Concession 10 of Blanshard. It was quickly extinguished. Wilson - Egan wedding The marriage was solemnized by Rev. Father C. P. After their honeymoon the happy couple will make their home in London. Church news In the absence of Rev. Mary Mclnally who is on a two weeks study break in Lindsay, the United Church welcomed back Mr. Percy White as guest speaker at the morning service, Sunday. Mr. White also con- ducted the service. He is a former member of the congregation now residing in London. The message was very inspiring, entitled "Life as I see it" and dealt with the current situation of strikes and inflation etc.,asking the question "What woud happen, if God went on Strike?" In closing the speaker left this advice "Spend your life and end up in a blind alley, Invest your life, and it will be enriched by God's grace, Man is master of his own Destiny."
