MR. AND MRS. JOHN CHRISTOPHER TAYLOR
Catherine Elizabeth Grenier and John Christopher Taylor were united
in marriage June 28, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Grand
Bend, with Father Boyer, Forest officiating. Catherine is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs, Alphonse Grenier, Hensall and John is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. James Taylor, Hensall. Matron of honour was the bride's twin
sister, Mrs. Carole Luther, Dashwood, and the best man was Bill Munn,
Hensall. Other attendants were Pam Taylor, Hensall, Jim Cooper,
Brucefield, Tammy Lynn Rader, flower girl, Goderich, Paul Campbell,
ring bearer, Hensall. Mrs. Bev Jewitt, Woodstock was the soloist. After

MR. AND MRS. THOMAS MERRIGAN
Rosemarie Webber and Thomas Merrigan were united in marriage
June 14 at Exeter United Church with Rev. Glen Wright officiating.
Rosemarie is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Webber, Hensall
and Thomas is the son of Mr. Michael Merrigan and the late Mrs.
Merrigan of Goderich. Maid of honour was Grace Webber, Hensall
and the best man was Kevin Merrigan, Goderich. Other attendants
were Donna Waddell, Staffa, Charlotte Webber, Hensall and Ann
Merrigan of Goderich was flower girl. Ushers were Larry Rabuke,
Toronto, and Richard Webber, Hensall. Chris Webber, Hay, was ring
bearer. The couple will make their home at RR1, Kincardine.
MR. AND MRS. DAVID THOMPSON
Mr. and Mrs. David Thompson were united in marriage May 10, 1975.
Ddvid is the son of Mr. '& Mrs: Ronald ThOrrijosOn of Wellancl —and the
grandson of Mrs. Arthur Bierling. Angel is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs.
Anthony Zdunich, of Hagersville. The wedding took place in St. Marys

MR. AND MRS. DONALD JAMES KERSLAKE
Shirley Anne Brintnell and Donald James Kerslake were united in
marriage June 21 at Chiselhurst United Church, with Rev. Donald R.
Beck officiating. Shirley is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Brintnell,
RR2, Staffa and Don is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kerslake, RR3,
Exeter. Maid of honour was Marilyn Brintnell, sister of the bride and
the best man was Edwin Kerslake, brother of the groom. Other atten-
dants were Maureen Connolly of Kippen, Jean Cole of Staffa, Doug
Case of Exeter and Paul Kerslake of Winchelseo. The couple, after a
honeymoon to Kentucky, will make their home at RR3, Exeter.

Local craft on display
at Stratford art festival
What's going in Stratford the
second weekend in July?
The Festival Theatre's Young
Company will open the fourth
annual Festival of Arts and
Crafts, a three day sale and
exhibition featuring the works of
70 Canadian artists and craft-
smen,
Included in the craftsmen
picked for the show is Exeter
potter, Kaaren Batten.
Fifteen members of "The
Comedy of Errors" cast will
present a half-hour opening show,
• "The Ballad of Mae Buchanan",
with songs and dances, based on
the story of a famous madame of
the 1880's Canadian West. The
Young Company are being
directed in this opening by Blaine
Parker,
Proceedings will start very
promptly at 7:00 p.m. as the cast
will have to make a mad dash
back to the Avon Theatre to be on
4tage at 8:00 p.m., Friday.
Throughout the opening
evening, visitors will view the
show to the music of three old-
time fiddlers, with drinks

The show employs a turn-of-the-
century theme based on that time
when more things were made by
hand.
During the three day sale hand-
crafted articles such as 1850's
style Canadian brooms will be
made to order on the premises,
potters will work at a potter's
wheel and visiting children may
try their hand at pottery clay.
Weavers, candle makers,
painters and wood carvers will
demonstrate their skills while
selling their wares.
The sale, sponsored by the
Volunteer Committee of the
Gallery Stratford will run July
11, 12 and 13 in the Stratford
Arena.

marriage June 28, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Zurich with Rev.
Kalbfleisch officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Pearl Koehler,
Hensall and the groom is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Gaiser, Exeter.
The maid of honour was Brenda Schilbe and the best man was Ron
Lindenfield. The couple will reside in Regina, Saskatchewan.
