Here's a new way to think
about prices: new cars are
now going for about $1.80 to
$2 a pound. (It's less than filet
mignon - and THAT doesn't go
very far.)
Need a master brake
cylinder? New one, though
more costly, is usually a better
buy than having the old one
rebuilt.
une automaker is working on
a device that will flash, like a
turning signal, when you are
preparing to pass. It's sup-
posed to work day or night
without turning on the
headlights.
Overinflated tires are more
likely to be damaged by im-
pact against curbs or other
objects.
Vapor lock, usually a hot-hot-
weather problem, occurs when
gas vaporizes in fuel pump or
fuel lines and blocks the flow
of gas to the carburetor. Open
hood until engine cools off.
Then have it checked by a
good mechanic,
Hot-weather problems won't seem so
bad when you're riding in a cool, air-
conditioned new car. See the comfor-
table new models at Lorry Snider

The only Exeter run came in
the fourth as Ron Mason singled,
moved up on a fielder's choice
and came home on Randy
Decker's single. The other
Exeter hit was a single from the
bat of Cy Blommaert in the first
inning.
In the Royals win over Sylvan
,Eliday, most of the scoring took
place in the early innings. Exeter
scored three times in the first
frame on Doug Pearson's double
and singles from Randy Decker
and Aub Bedard,
Cy Blommaert's single sent
Pearson home again in the
second. Two big insurance runs
for the Royals were produced in
the fifth as Randy Decker
slammed a home run with Ray
Lumsden on the bases.
Brian Hodgins was the winning
pitcher for the Royals going the
full distance holding Sylvan to
seven well scattered hits.
Wednesday's game saw
Parkhill jump in front quickly
with five runs in the inning and
they were never caught by the
Royals.
Scott Burton scored for Exeter
in the first, Randy Decker walked
in the second and came home on
Doug Pearson's single.
Doug Pearson chalked up the
third Exeter run in the fifth as the
result of Parkhill errors and he
accounted for his club's final run
in the seventh when he delivered
a two-out home run. Ron Mason
and Brian Hodgins shared pit-
ching chores for the Royals.
