Six couples left Tuesday
morning with the Ontario Beef
Association on a flight to Victoria
B.C. & other points of interest.
Mr. & Mrs. George Hindmarsh
have returned from a four week
holiday spent in England,
Scotland & Wales. While in
England they visited with a
former friend in the service, Mr.
& Mrs. Peter Ludlow and family
near London, England while in
Northumberland County. George
spent his birthday at the home of
his grandfather Hindmarsh. The
home was occupied until just a
few months ago when the site was
taken over for the largest dam
project in England and by this
time next year the house and land
will he inundated.
George & Donna spent a while
visiting Donald & Dolly Mac-
Millan in Fores Scotland. Mrs.
MacMillan is a sister of Alex
Macintosh.
A swim in the lake and a wiener
roast was a fun tithe for fifteen
friends of Carol Cunningham
Wednesday afternoon and
evening when she celebrated a
birthday.
The bees are busy and we have
hopes 'for some of that sweet
-noel ar by the first of AUtogi,
maybe before.
The community shower for
Hazel Simpson is tonight
(Thursday ) at the United Church

miscellaneous shower in the
school room of the United Church
on Friday evening with relatives,
neighbors and friends in at-
tendance.
Mrs. W, R. Essery was M.C. for
the program and taking part
were Pearl Buswell who favoured
with a piano solo, readings by
Mrs. Alvin Lobb and piano solos
by Mary Lou Tasko.
The address was read by Mrs.
Melville Buswell, Patti Swartz
and the Cronyn twins presented
the gifts,
Assisting Nancy in displaying
the gifts were Trudy Johns of
Elimville and Mrs. Jean Lee of
Ailsa Craig.
Nancy expressed her ap-
preciation for the beautiful and
