Sewage Treatment Expansion
TOWNSHIP OF STEPHEN
VILLAGE OF GRAND BEND
(GRAND COVE ESTATES MOBILE HOME PARK)
Ridge Pine Park limited has submitted an application to the Ontario
Ministry of the Environment for approval for an expansion of the
Sewage Treatment Works serving the Grand Cove Estates Mobile
Home Park. The proposed works would be located in the vicinity of
Lot 2, Lake Road Concession, Township of Stephen, and Lot 1, Lake
Road Concession, now in the Village of Grand Bend.
The Environmental Hearing Board will conduct a public hearing to
obtain information and to hear the views of the public so that it can
form an opinion on the merits as to whether the use and operation of
the sewage works on the proposed site would or would not be in the
public interest, Written and oral submissions may be-made to the
Board at the hearing. The Board will not consider any submissions
regarding the proposal after the hearing has been closed.
The hearing will be held an July 24, 1975 at 2 o'clock in the after-
noon, local time, in the ToWnship of Stephen Community Centre,
Creditors, Ontario.
Plans of the proposed sewage treatment expansion will be available
for examination and inspection during normal business hours in the
office of the Municipal Clerk-Treasurer, of the Township of Stephen,
Creditor), Ontario and in the office of the Municipal Clerk-Treasurer
of the Village of Grand Bend, Grand Bend, Ontario.

A largely attended funeral was
held last Wednesday for Lloyd
Hendrick of Exeter, well known
area farmer, who farmed many
years on the Blue Water highway
north of Grand Bend,
Surviving are his wife Dorothy
(Bremner) two daughters Mrs.
Eldon (Doreen) Patars of
Exeter, Mrs. Clayton (Irene)
Thompson of Kincardine and a
son Harold of RR 1, Dashwood, a
sister Mrs. Fred (Ruby) Bell, of
New Port Richie, Florida, two
brothers Ed of Crediton & Laird '
of Grand Bend, also 11 grand-
children.
Pallbearers were six Hendrick
nephews. Elgin & Richard of this
area, Hugh of Kippen, Howard of
Crediton, Don of Wyoming and
Robert of Zurich.
Flower bearers were John &
Emil Hendrick, Ron Heinpel and
John Findlay.
Interment Grand Bend

Funeral service was held
Friday for Kenneth Roberts of
RR 2, Grand Bend.
Surviving are his wife Margery
Bartlett, two daughters Mrs,
Robert (Sandra) Campbell of
Guelph and Darlene• Roberts of
London, two sisters Mrs. Harold
(Hazel) Parks and Mrs, Jerry
(Marilyn) Ferrington, both. of
London, brother Jack of Mon-
treal, and his mother Mrs. Vera
Roberts of London and one
granddaughter.
Interment was in Exeter

Mr. & Mrs, Alec Hamilton
attended the Lambton County
Historical Society meeting,
Thursday evening, at Enniskillen
Central School.
Guest speaker was Mrs.
Lavern Hawken, who told history
of Arkona, and plans for their
Centennial in 1976.

Minister leaves
There was a large attendance
at the United Church Sunday
morning, when Rev. H. Dobson,
preached his farewell sermon,
after serving the pastoral
charges of Grand Bend and
Greenway for six years.
The sermon topic was "The
faithful witness," and the choir
anthem was "Great is thy faith-
fullness".
At the close of the service, Alec
Hamilton read an address to Rev,
Dobson and on behalf of the
congregation and the UCW, Mrs,
Joan Eagleson presented Rev,
Dobson with a wallet and a gift of
money, Mrs. Dobson was
presented with a figurine.
Rev, & Mrs. Dobson left last
Monday for their new pastoral
charge in Dungannon.
Induction Service
The induction service for Rev,
Harley Moore into the Grand
Bend and Greenway pastoral
charges will be held Friday
evening July 4, at Greenway
United Church.

Robinson; to preach Rev,
Frederick Faist; to induct, Rev,
Harold Snell.
