The event, judged by Jack Baker, Lambeth drew the interest of 17 exhibitors and considerable ringside attendance with breeders from as far afield as Ontario County. Ellwood O. Seili, Ethel, making his debut in the show ring, vir- tually "cleaned-up" on the veteran breeders. He showed the Grand Champion female cow from the aged cow class; the Junior Champion female from the Senior Yearling class; and the top Junior Yearling, Judge Baker, is describing his Grand Champion cow, Elmark Becky Alert as sired by Glenholrn Alert Dean Pabst, stated that he liked "her sharpness and dairyness combined with a well attached udder". The well at- tached udder was the major margin of victory over the 2nd prize aged cow and Reserve Grand Champion. Brunsveld Dividend Cora, as owned by Robert W. Carter, Blyth. WILLIAM ROHDE THAMES ROAD The United Church Women catered to the annual Strawberry & Ham Supper Monday evening. About 650 people were fed, coming from as far as St. Clair, Michigan, Port Huron, Michigan; Sudbury, St. Marys, Blyth, etc., and the surrounding area. There will be no Sunday School on Sunday owing to the an- niversary service. There will be no services the next Sunday owing to Elimville anniversary. Mr. & Mrs. Alvin Passmore visited on Saturday evening with Mrs. Helen Caswell and family and also with Mrs. Pearl Baynham who is a patient in a London Hospital. Mrs. George Hannahson, St. Catharines, was a recent visitor with Rev. Barry & Mrs. Robin- son. Mr. & Mrs. Harold Robinson and Jan, Rt, Rev. Arthur B, B. Moore, Toronto, spent the weekend with Rev, Barry & Mrs. Robinson. Mr. & Mrs. Lee Webber were guests at the Merrigan-Webber wedding on Saturday in Exeter United Church and also attended the reception and dance in the Hensall Arena Saturday evening. Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd Ballantyne attended the 45th wedding an- niversary of Mr. & Mrs. William Harper at the home of their son- in-law and daughter, Mr. & Mrs. Doug Gale of Kitchener on Sunday. Mr. & Mrs. Ken Duncan were guests Sunday with Mr. & Mrs. Roy Ballantyne, London. Some of the choir members assisted with the music at the special service at Elirnville on Sunday. Some attended the pot luck supper and the program on Sunday evening in the church. By MISS ELLA MORLOCK CREDITON Children's Day was observed in Zion United Church Sunday, with a combined Sunday School and church service. Harry Schroeder superintendent was chairman. The primary classes sang, the junior choir had an exercise on answers from the Bible. Ushers were Danny Galloway, Mark Schwartz, Robin Little and Paul Wein. The North Sauble Holiday Club under the leader- ship of Calvin Fahrner, provided the rest of the program. Members of the club were Karen Rothry, Toronto, Don Martin, Toronto, Mark Warren, London, Robin Little, Mary Ellen Schlenker, Mark Schwartz and Perry Preszcator. They sang, conducted a Bible quiz, taught choruses and a memoryverse,and operated puppets. Mark Warren played the flute, Mrs. Lyle Little the organ, and Heather Little read the Scripture, Personals Mrs. Harry Carroll and Jim- my, Dutton were guests of Mr. & Mrs. Emerson Wein last week. Last Wednesday, relatives and friends held a shower in honour of Charmaine Averill in the Crediton Community Centre. Susan and Tammy Schenk, Kathy Dinney and Margaret Brennan helped Charmaine to open the gifts. Susan conducted games until lunch was served. Guests were present from Crediton, Sarnia, Toronto, North Bay, Guelph, Granton,Lucknow, Harriston, Kitchener and Walkerton.
