When this happens, in all probability, the drain to which your basement drain is now con- nected will no longer be ser- viceable. Before theo new sewer is installed on your street, you will be inter- viewed by an engineer to ascertain the most satisfactory location of the lateral to serve your property, both for drainage from the base- ment and other plumbing. It is .suggested that you consult with•a plumber if you are in doubt about the best location of the lateral, and possibly also arrange to have your connection made as soon as possible after installation of the sewer.
