Sunday when Walter Day of
"Jesus to the Communist
World", with headquarters in
Glendale, California was the
guest speaker.
In the morning Mr. Day spoke
on "The Abundant Life" using
various scriptures to point out the
fact that this comes through
Jesus Christ.
In the evening Mr. Day told of
the persecution of Christians and
their families, and the suffering
they go through, being sent to
slave labour camps, prisons and
mental institutions and having
their children taken from them to
be placed in communist boarding
schools, never to see them again,
He also told how many
Christians are preserved through
it all by the power of God. We
here are responsible to pray for
them and to give money to help
the families.
Mr. Brewster was in charge of
both services and Robert
Holland, Jr. sang a solo in the
morning and Katie Graham and
Lorraine Armitage sang a duet in
the evening.
United Church

assisted in the morning service

who read various scriptures
contributing to "A Message for

McRoberts, Bradley DeGraw,
Mary Madden, Anna and Pat
Bates. The junior choir sang the
lovely hymn "Fairest Lord
Jesus".

son of Leroy and Nancy Maguire
and Dennis David Austin Payne,

received through the Sacrament
of Baptism.
