FENTON — In loving memory of a
dear grandmother and grandfather,
Elsie May and Frederick William,
Beautiful memories are woven in
gold
This is the picture we tenderly hold,
Depe in our hearts their memory is
p t
To love and to cherish and never
forget,
Lovingly remembered by
grandchildren. 16c
FINLAY — In loving memory of
mother, Annie E. Finlay, who passed
away 17 years ago, April 21, 1958, as
the result of a car accident,
It's sad to walk the road alone
Instead of side by side
But to all there comes a moment
When the path of life divides,
You gave me years of happiness
Then sorrow came and tears
But left me beautiful memories
That I will treasure throughout the
coming years.
Ever remembered and sadly miss-
ed by daughter, Jane Wildfong. 16c
PAFF — In loving memory of a dear
mother and grandmother, Alice Paff,
who passed away one year ago, April
15, 1974,
This month comes back
With deep regret
For it brings back a day
We cannot forget.
You left so sudden
Without a goodbye
But memories of you
Will never die. • •
Sadly missed and always
remembered by your daughter Alice,
son-in-law Clayton, and
grandchildren Bonnie and Clyde
Kooy 16c
McFALLS — In loving memory of a
dear husband, father and grand-
father, George E. McFalls, who
passed away seven years ago, April
13, 1968.
God has him in his keeping
We have him in our hearts.
Lovingly remembered by wife
Vera andfamily. 16c
McFALLS — In loving memory of a
dear grandfather, George E.
McFalls, who passed away seven
years ago, April 13, 1968.
Another year has come and gone
How quickly time does fly
It seems like only yesterday
When we last talked — you and I.
Oh yes I often alit* of you
And here's the reason why,
I still have my memories
Of happy days gone by.
You always seem the same to me
Time hasn't changed a thing
Your blue eyes just a dancing
And your laughter has that same
sweet ring.
It's funny cause I'm much different
In my thoughts, I'm very small
But you are always just the same
As I remember, so straight and tall.
I know I was being selfish
When we said goodbye that day
For I would have kept you forever
If I could have had my way.
And I am oh so thankful
For the things you helped me learn•
And all the love you gave me
For which you asked nothing in
return.
All I hope is that everyone
Will thank God up above
If lucky enough to have a Grandpa
To cherish and love.
Grandpa, You were someone special
I had for so short a time
But one thing I can be thankful for
Is that Grandpa you were mine.
All my love

Dear Sir:
We are writing regarding the
article entitled "Student to assist
police department" found in last
week's paper. In this article Chief
Day of the local police force is
quoted as saying that the person
hired to work with the force thig
summer would "probably be
doing some typing, filing, etc.
and if the candidate was a male
'we'll show him some other
things to do as well.'
Perhaps Chief Day is unaware
that there are some laws (and
more in Parliament now) against
sexual discrimination. Unless he
can prove that these 'other
things' cannot be attempted by a
female just as well as a male
then we' feel that he is being
discriminatory.
Since he was not too certain as
to what these other 'duties' would
entail, how can he say that
they can only be shown to the
male candidate? If he doesn't
know what these duties are how
can he be certain that a female
candidate is not also capable of
them?
Chief Day, this is International
Women's Year and the women of
the world are fighting sexual
discrimination. Despite what
some people feel, there are
women in Exeter and area who
have joined this fight.
This point, although not major,
must still be made. We feel a
change in attitude, on your part,
is necessary.
