You also get a new ease of handling, convenience and even greater efficiency. That's because AAtrex Liquid is a liquid suspension with no dust. AAtrex Liquid gives you the'un- equajled AAtrex flexibility of applica- tion: pre-plant, pre-emergent, post-emergent. And AAtrex Liquid requires only 10 gal/acre for pre- , emergent control and 15 gal/acre for post-emergent control. So you can spray more acres per tankful and take less trips to your water source, Plus, you can substitute liquid fertilizer for water during pre- emergent spraying and feed while you weed. Some carry-over may be found where spraying has overlapped, but most crop rotation is unaffected when AAtrex Liquid is used according to label rates for most weeds. This is what makes AAtrex Liquid your best choice for controlling most annual broadleaf weeds and grasses. AAtrex Liquid. The easiest way yet to grow maximum yield corn in the cleanest fields. We'll Do the Job Right DASHWOOD Phone 237-3651 BY BRUCE SHAW Bible dedication at Elimville service Council this week was presented with a budget from its RAP Committee, Needless to say, it, like all our other departments, showed an increase in expenditures and a resultant increase in deficit which will have to be met with a grant from the town. You, the taxpayer, will have to meet that cost and subsidize an activity in which few of you take par( . You are paying then, for the other fellow's entertainment. It's of no use to protest the town's commitment to recreation, parks and its facilities; there are too many people receiving the benefits of the town's policies and programs. There's only one solution: take part yourself! Costs are definitely a factor in all our recreational endeavours, but where a need is present, the financing will be provided. To reduce your tax commitment and to derive the enjoyment that is rightfully yours, find out what's available and join us. In Exeter in 1975, when we talk of recreation, we automatically think of the 'Complex'. And the question most frequently asked is: 'How much is it going to cost?' There are, however, other considerations that should be on, you': minds as well. For instance, I would guess that few people know very much about the discussions and studies being carried out by the Citizens' Committee investigating the feasibility of such a•complex. Assume for the moment that the committee recommends that such a facility be built and council approves the recom- mendation. What will your reaction be? 'Good; it's about time!' I'm against it, in prin- ciple.' What's a recreation complex?' Not one of these answers is of any positive use to anybody if the reply is based on ignorance. The committee has held, and is By MRS. Mr. & Mrs. Bill McRoberts of Bryanston visited Monday with Mr. & Mrs. Lorne Devine. Mr. & Mrs. Wayne Ratz and Jeffrey of Sarnia spent the weekend here with his parents Mr. & Mrs. Gordon Ratz. Sunday visitors with Mr. Mrs. Gus Van Massenhoven and family were her brother, Mr. & Mrs. Stan Wauters, Jackie, Brenda, Lynda and Jeffrey of Thamesford. Roger Ratz spent the weekend in Mississauga with his aunt and uncle and cousins Mr. & Mrs. Gord Longman and family. Mr. & Mrs. Willis Desjardine, and Earl Stebbins of Dashwood, attended the wake for their, friend Harry Girvin, at the Stiles Funeral Home at Goderich Sunday afternoon. Susan Ratz daughter of Mr. -St Mrs. Harvey Ratz celebrated her second birthday last Saturday. holding regular open meetings in the Exeter Public School, The dates have always been an- nounced in the press, and the public relations sub-committee has _periodically published progress reports, trying to keep everyone informed. By this time, each of us should be aware of the direction in which the committee is heading. It better not come as a surprise! There is, however, still time for you to become involved in the decision-making and the recommendation that will go to council. Many of us have abilities and intelligence enough to provide a meaningful input to these deliberations. Let's hope this potential is not being wasted. Attend the next meeting and find out what you can, Council feels that recreation and our recreation facilities are too important to cast aside because of costs. This entire aspect of municipal respon- sibility is a high priority with all of us on council. With this position clearly established, we can see costs to the taxpayer being reduced in only one way: maximum participation so that our facilities are used economically and efficiently - an arena is expensive if it sits empty for six months; a meeting hall costs money if it's idle five days out of seven and a swimming pool makes no contribution if it has ice on it five months of the year. Our facilities must be utilized more often by more people, if costs are to be decreased. Exeter offers much to its citizens through its recreation program. If you feel you're paying too much for recreation - and you paid approximately eight mills last year - you're probably not taking advantage of what is provided for you. Zion UCW host visitors By MRS.
