All fashions were made by the students. The first year students made their own clothes, while the second year class styled the clothes. On parade were all kinds of wearing apparel from bathing suits to pant suits, loungewear to formal wear, Color played an important part in the wardrobe as presented. All colors were used: vivid pinks, forest greens, perennial whites and baby blues, Patterned materials, especially flowered patterns were very popular with the girls. The fashions were made with an eye to style, but practicality may be taking over the scene, Almost lost are extremes in all phases of clothing design, as presented by the students. Plans are underway to have the annual spring rummage sale for the South Huron Hospital Auxiliary on May 29 and 30. The sale had been cancelled, due to the snow storm last week, and all attempts to secure a premises for the sale had proven futile, according to auxiliary Dress lengths are just above or just below knee-length. Colors are subtle for the most part, with accessories playing a large part in the overall look of the garments. She also said that each time a rummage sale is held, it grows. "We've got to the point where we don't know where to put all that accumulated," she said. Before it was learned of the re- scheduled rummage sale, auxiliary members had guessed the fall sale, combined with the spring sale articles would be very large. Despite the large number of articles, Mrs. MacMillan said none of it is wasted. She said that in former years any surplus from the sale would go to the Salvation Army, and if there is any surplus from any sale now, it will still all be put to a good use.
