Euchre was played and prizes were won by ladies high, Mrs. Frank Kints; ladies low, Mrs. Lee Webber; lone hands, Mrs. Jack Borland; men's high, William Lamport, men's low, William Snow. Mac Hodgert spoke a few words and Reg and Jean were presented with two wall plaques. 40th anniversary attended A large crowd from this community attended the 40th wedding anniversary dance at Kirkton-Woodham Community Centre on Thursday evening for Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd Ballantyne. A number from this community attended an open house at Usborne Township Hall Elim- ville, on Sunday for Mr. & Mrs. William Stephen in honor of their golden wedding anniversary. Several from this community attended the surprise shivaree for Mr. & Mrs. John Batten, Elimville, and then the card party at the hall. Mr. & Mrs. Batten's 25th wedding an- niversary is the first of April. Quite anumber of Thames Road residents attended the Good Friday evening Church services at Elimville. The flowers in the church Sunday were presented by Mary Gardiner in memory of her parents and brothers, Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Gardiner, Bert and Melvin. Other flowers were placed there by the Rowe family in memory of Mrs. Chester Rowe. Halleluia night will be held in the church basement on April 4 at 8 p.m. A fun night for the whole charge. On Sunday morning, during the church service, a Biblefor the pulpit was donated by the Jeffery family in memory of the late Charles Jeffery. It was accepted by the clerk of session, John Pym, and the minister, Rev. Barry Robinson.
