Mrs. Ed Hendrick, convener of Supply, was assisted by Mrs, Armin Schlenker, Mrs. Ray Morlock and Mrs.Emerson Wein. 4-H leaders rally Kathleen Gielen and Mrs. Don Finkbeiner were in Toronto Thursday and Friday to attend a rally of 4-H leaders at the Lord Simcoe Hotel. One speaker was the Minister of Agriculture who outlined plans for the erection of an agricultural museum to be opened in 1976. Other speakers discussed textiles and nutrition, The group visited the Royal Winter Fair. STAN PRESZCATOR Institute of Hurandale and Grand Bend and local 4-H girls were guests at the November meeting of the Women's. Institute held Wednesday evening in the Community centre. Mrs. Dave Cottel and Mrs. Don Finkbeiner presented a corsage to each person. The president, Mrs.Cliff Kenney, opened the meeting with the ode and collect. Roll call was answered by "One form of politeness I admire." There was discussion about the area convention to be held in Stratford the following week. Mrs. Cottel was in charge of the program. Mona Hodgins gave a step dance number, Debbie Darlene and Donna Henderson, Seaforth sang, accompanied by their mother, Mrs. Leonard Wein developed the motto "The Institute is like a bank. Put nothing in and you get nothing Ma." Mrs, Joanne Dinney of Country Flowers, Exeter, guest speaker, explained the origin of floral decorations. She brought with her two arrangements, one of dried flowers , one of plastic and made up two as the guests watched. An arrangement, given as door prize, was won by Mrs. Robert Crawford, Exeter, Mrs. Fink- beiner thanked Mrs. Dinney for her talk and demonstration. Mrs. Cottel closed the meeting with a special thought and the song "Blest Be the Tie That Binds," Then everyone moved to the basement rooms where tea tables had been set up. The December Program Committee and the Executive served lunch. More than 60 people were present in spite of the unpleasant weather of the evening. Gordon Young is expected to be home from St. Joseph's Hospital, London, following surgery there two weeks ago. Evelyn and Manual Curts visited for a few days last week with Mr. & Mrs. John Walker and Scott in Downsview and attended the Royal Agricultural Fair . Mrs. Harold McDonald has returned home following a two week visit with relatives in Saskatchewan, Mr. & Mrs. Barry Hicks are holidaying in Florida. His parents are operating the Corbett store during their absence. Mr. & Mrs. Clare Reid spent the weekend in Weston with their daughter and family. Les Ross and Blake Sitter were hunting for several days in the Bruce Penninsula, Mrs. Helen Welten and Mrs, Ruth Elliott have returned after a very interesting three week tour of Spain, Portugal, Morocco and North Africa. Mrs. Mary Pembleton is a patient in St. Joseph's Hospital. Ralph Campbell and Stuart McBryan of Forest visited several days last week at Tim- mins South Porcupine and Espanola, Mrs. Mary Anderson, of Vancouver is visiting her father James B, Parker, also Mr, & Mrs, Leonard Parker at Kingston for several days and Mr. & Mrs. Alfred Parker and family at at Stratford. Mr. & Mrs. Norm Glenn have moved into their new home on the Port Franks road north Ridge Road.
