Back resolution
over containers
Exeter council this week
concurred with a resolution from
the Township of March urging the
government to encourage greater
use of returnable containers and
thereby reduce the present waste
of such materials and the
resources which are required to
produce them.
The resolution suggested that
when the metric system is
adopted, all glass containers
should be in standard sizes and
reduce the great variety now in
existence.
In addition, their suggestion
was that governments enforce
rules requiring that products be
put in reusable containers when
possible.
"It makes a lot of sense,"
commented Councillor Bruce
Shaw.
While he supported the
resolution, Councillor Ben
Hoogenboom opined that "I don't
think you'll get anywhere."

of my dear brother (Ted) Edward
Norman and sister-in-law Edna who

Though their smile is gone forever
And their hands we cannot touch
Still we have so many memories
Of the ones we loved so much.
Their memory is our keepsake
With which we'll never part
God has them in His keeping
We have them in our heart,
Sadly missed by sister Maxine and

We are proud to own;
So treasure them Lord
