To the music "We Have Just Begun" played by Carolyn Kellett, Judith Parker escorted Beth to a decorated chair. Carolyn Kellett was chairlady for the programme. Valeri and Marlene Glanville sang several numbers. A skit "Comedy of Error On The Etiquette Of Dressing." Mrs. Ray Cdnn accompanied her daughter Cheryl who sang during the skit. The girls decided to call themselves "The l'ea Totin Twelve." After the leaders discussed table service and manners the girls made chicken-a-la-king and delicious squares, While some made the dinner others were setting the table and making a flower arrangement. After eating and cleaning up the meeting adjourned. The next meeting will be November 5th. Infants baptized Two infants received baptism in Zion Lutheran church by Rev. Mrs. Anna Walkom conducted the Bible study based on verses from Acts, Corinthians, and Philippians. The theme for discussion and meditation was, "Together in Christ-Joyfully." It .was the consensus of opinion that it would be difficult if not impossible to cope successfully with the violence and anxiety we must face in today's society were it not for our oneness in Jesus. Where we are "together in Christ" there is indeed Joy. The period of nomination for these is the same as outlined above. United Church Women The November meeting of the United Church Women was held on Monday evening with Mrs. John Pym as hostess. Mrs. Arnold Cann program convener was in charge of the Worship service of which the Theme was "In Thankfulness". Mrs. Ray Cann gave a reading on "Peace" and the Scripture lesson. A poem "Remembrance was given by Mrs. Bev. Morgan. Mrs. Arnold Cann gave the thought for the day. Mrs. Morgan introduced Mrs. Dean (Joanne) McKnight of Exeter who makes ecology boxes and other crafts. Joanne gatve a very interesting -talk and passed around some of her work. Mrs, Ray Cann thanked her and presented her with a gift. Mrs. Lee Webber took charge of the business. Minutes, cards of thanks and the treasurer's report were given. The flower arrangements the U.C.W. donated to the church were commented on. The work that is to be done at Western couple visit Dashwood Leeland Guenther of Hallonquist, Saskatchewan and granddaughter Patricia Guen- ther of Outlook, Sask, attended the 50th Wedding Anniversary of Mr. & Mrs, Lloyd Edighoffer of Mitchell at Kitchener, Sunday, and later visited with Mr, & Mrs, Earl Guenther and other relatives.
