Repairs to truck
above estimates
Repairs to Exeter's 1959 model
dump truck were higher than
previously estimated.
Council this week .approved a
bill, in the amount of42;840.73 for
major. repairs to the vehicle. The
estimate had been around $2,000
but works superintendent Glenn
Kells indicated more work had to
be done than originally planned.
The truck was purchased about
20 months ago by council for
$2,250.
Councillors contended that
repairing the truck was still
cheaper than buying another one.
