tained at the Municipal Office and delivered to the
Returning Officer at the Municipal Office in the
Village of Hensall during regular office hours from
November 7, 1974 until November 12, 1974, at 5
p,m.
Nomination Application Forms must be signed
by at least ten (10) qualified electors, supporting
their chosen candidate.
All completed application forms must be
returned to the Returning Officer by 5 p.m. on Tues-
day, November 12, 1974.
All electors are hereby required to take notice
and govern themselves accordingly,

In the recent convocation
ceremonies held at the Univer-
sity of Western Ontario, Mrs. B.J.
Turner of Hensall graduated with
her Bachelor of Arts Degree from
the Faculty of Social Science. In
attendance at the ceremony were
her daughters Tammy and
Tracey, her parents, Mr. & Mrs,
Thomas Lavender, and Pat Rowe
all of Hensall.
Mr. & Mrs. John Soldan at-
tended Fall Convocation at the
University of Western Ontario on
Saturday when their son Patrick
received his Bachelor of Arts
degree in Social Science., and at
a family dinner at the parents'
home, were joined by Mr. & Mrs.
Ralph Lightfoot, Centralia and
Mrs. Doris Clemas, London.

NOTICE
Village of Hensall
Notice is hereby given to the Municipal Electors of the
Village of Hensall, in the County of Huron that in compliance with
the Municipal Elections Act, 1972 Chapter 95 as amended by
Chapter 32, 1974, the period for nominations in the said village
of Hensall is the period from Thursday November 7, 1974 until
Tuesday, November 12, 1974 at 5 o'clock in the afternoon, for
the purpose of nominating fit and proper persons for the office(s)
of One Reeve, Four Councillors and Two Public Utilities Com-
missioners of which all Electors are hereby required to take notice
and govern themselves accordingly and if a greater number of
candidates than required to fill the said offices are nominated
and make the required declarations, polls will be opened on the
dates stated below for the purpose of taking the poll, from 11
o'clock in the forenoon until 8 o'clock in the afternoon.
Advance Poll, Saturday, November 23, 1974 at the Village
Municipal Building.
Polling Day, Monday, December 2, 1974 at the Village
Municipal Building.

passes away
At South. Hum Hospital,
Exeter, on Wednesday October
23, 1974, Mrs. Marjorie (Trench)
Lindey of BR 1, -Zurich passed
away in her 89th year.
She was the wife of Terence A.
.Lindey, RR 1, Zurich and mother
of Terence A. Jr., Welland; Mrs,
Jacob (Maxine) Peters, 'RR 1,
.Zurich; Kenneth R. Mississauga;
VIrs. John (Sharon) Martin,
Viagera Falls; Mrs. Gail
"..evesque, Niagara Falls.
Also survived by one sister
qrs. R. (Edythe) Young, 'Vic-
toria B.C., and 11 grandchildren,
The late Mrs, Lindey rested at
the Bonthron Funeral Chapel in
Hensall when funeral service
took place on Saturday, October
26, 1974, with Rev. G. Anderson
officiating. Interment was in
Hensall Union Cemetery.
United church
Rev. Don Beck preached on the
sermon topic "open the doors"
for the service of worship in
Hensall United Church Sunday
morning, The choir sang the
anthem "Holy, Holy, Holy"
accompanied on the organ by
Mrs. Turkheim.

The canvass for the Canadian
Bible Society for Dashwood and
area will take place early in
November.
A number of people from Dash-
wood attended the Weber-Love
wedding Saturday, October 26th
at Grand Bend United church,
and the reception at Dashwood
community centre, following the
dinner at the Pineridge chalet.
Mr. & Mrs. Don Rader and
family spent Sunday at Toronto
with Mr. & Mrs. Jim Coates and
attended church service at Rev.
Wm. Gatz's church at
Mississauga.
Sunday visitors with Mr. &
Mrs. Ivin Rader were Mr. & Mrs,
Elmer Rader, Stratford and Mr.
& Mrs. Lloyd Rader.
Mrs. Linda Pedersen and
children,Camp Petawawa spent
some time here with Mr. & Mrs.
Oluf Pedersen and other relatives
following the departure of her
husband Sgt. Loric Pedersen for
a six month tour of duty in Egypt.

Frank Virgin and Joe Janka,
California, and Karen Smith,

The sixth meeting of the
Hensall Helping Homemaking
Hostesses was held on October
22nd at the Hensall United
Church, Nancy McCurdy the club
President called the meeting to
order with the pledge. After the
pledge the roll call which was "an
idea for an original party game"
was answered by all members.
Party menus were discussed and
pizza was made, which was
enjoyed by all the girls. The next
meeting each member must
bring an idea for an exhibit for
Achievement Day.
Anglican news
The Rev. G.A. Anderson
conducted the service at St. Pauls
Anglican Church. The text of the
sermon was "See then that ye
walk circumspectly". The
flowers were placed in memory
of the Late Mrs. Terence Lindey.
Evening service will be held
November 10 at 7:30 with special
music to be provided.
Staffa girls
enjoy trifle

Meeting 4 of the Canadian
Chefs 4-H Homemaking club
was held at the home of their
assistant leader Mrs. Arthur
Smale on Wednesday October 16
at 4:30 with '13 girls present.
Roll call was answered by
naming a food commonly pur-
chased today which formerly was
made at home.Mrs. Jeffery read
about Canada becoming a nation
and the members took turns
reading about the different
settlers.
Jane Ross and Helen Smale
made hot potato salad, This,
along with potato pancakes and
split pea soup was enjoyed by the
girls at the close of the meeting.
The fifth meeting of the
Canadian Chefs was held
Saturday morning October 26 at
the home of their leader, Mrs.
Spencer Jeffery,
Roll call was answered by each
girl telling where her ancestors
came from.Italy and the Eastern
European countries were
discussed.
Ruth Jeffery and Joanne Ross
made pizza. This along with
English Trifle was enjoyed at the
