the vice president, Mrs. Bruce
Henry with 15 ladies and two
visitors.
Mrs. W. Scott opened the
meeting with the Institute Ode,
and Mary Stewart Collect.
Mrs. Zimmerman, District
President was a guest and gave
as her topic "Public Relations,"
Mrs, A. Hodgins conducted a
contest and Mrs. C, 'Coughlin
gave a reading. Mrs, Zim-
merman won the contest Mrs.
Scott was the hostess,
Mrs. Hodgins gave a report
about the bus trip to go to the
Royal Winter Fair November 24,
It's full.
Mrs. A. Cunningham and Mrs.
H. Hardy assisted the hostess
with a delicious lunch.
Mark Centralia anniversary

Rev. Robert Wilson of
Beamsville returned to Centralia
on Sunday to be guest minister
for the Anniversary service in the
United Church.
"My Personal Discoveries in
Religion" was the subject chosen
by Mr. Wilson who based his
thoughts on the third chapter of
Philippians with emphasis on
the text "Forgetting those things
which are behind and reaching
forth unto those things which are
before, I press toward the mark
for the prize of the high calling of
God in Christ Jesus."
The choir under the leadership
of Mrs. Russell Wilson with Mary
Shoebottom as organist sang two
anthems "Happy Side of Life"
and "God Spoke." Mrs. Wilson
favoured with a solo "Redemp-
tion Draweth Nigh,"
Ushers were Ray Shoebottom,
Robert Blair, Ray Mills and
Richard Shoebottom.

Otto Darling had the misfor-
tune to get his toes caught in
some machinery but he is able to
be back on the job again.

to hospital Monday after he fell
several feet from a ladder.
Mrs. Dan Rogers and Lorne

Dan took a bus fishing trip to
Northern Michigan where he
caught 3 large salmon.
Dan Rogers has accepted a
position in London with C.P.I.
where he commenced his duties
Monday.

combined No. 5 & 6 meetings at
the home of Cindy Prest. Nine
members answered roll call
which was to exchange in-
formation for your file and an
idea for an original party game.
Mrs. Henry made cup cakes
and Mrs, Holland decorated them
and brought an original
Halloween table centre
decoration.
Next Monday at 7 p.m. the girls
will meet at Janis Kestle's home.

Entertainers - had meeting five
at the home of Marilyn
Groenewegen's. Roll call was to
exchange material for reference
file on the subject, summary,
Ideas for a party. Plans were
made for a party and the most
original theme, will be used at the
end 'of this project.
Party sandwiches were made
and enjoyed by the girls. Mrs.
Brinkman demonstrated a table
arrangement of flowers which
were presented to Mrs. Brink-
man by Heike Nippa . The next
meeting will be at Pat Hodgins
home on Saturday October 25.
