cillors hope to get it in force
before the next season. The
regulations would also apply to
pools already installed.
Council agreed to set the fees
for the committee of Adjustment
meetings at $30 per session to be
levied to the party requesting the
meeting. They had been in favour
of levying a fee of up to $50 but
decided to go With the Com-
mittee's suggestion that they
keep the fee in line with that
being charged by other
municipalities.
Councillor Harry Wraith
reported that the Arena Board
had met and had been presented
with proposals for renovations to
the Lucan arena prepared by
Architect Howard Falls of
London.
The renovations call for
enlarging and renovating the
hall, lobby and dressing room
areas of the arena.
Council suggested that
general meeting with
McGillivray, Biddulph and
London Townships and the
Village of Lucan be called so that
these proposals could be
presented to all benefitting
municipalities before further
steps were taken.
Reeve Ivan Hearn suggested
that Harry Wraith contact
government officials to find out
what grants are available and
perhaps get a government
representative to attend the
general meeting to explain the
grant system.
The general meeting con-
cerning arena renovations is
slated for sometime later this
month.

hydrant, to cover fees of the
superintendent of works to open
and close the hydrant,
Reeve Ivan Hearn suggested
that the Lucan Fire Department
be authorized to set a fee for their
services in filling pools.
Also to be included in the
proposed bylaw are restrictions
as to weight, construction and
materials used in fencing
swimming pools,
Councillors suggested that the
proposed bylaw include a clause
giving the building inspector the
power to enforce the bylaw and
that any infringements of the
