Lieury won the game as a
result of two runs in the seventh
inning while Lucan, despite
threatening, was again held
scoreless. Russ Smith with three
singles and Finlayson with his
two triples led Lucan offensively.
Friday night Lucan travelled to
Lieury and gained • a victory by
reversing the score as they
defeated Lieury 3-1. Three runs in
the first inning was all Lucan
needed as Irish pitcher, Brian
Lightfoot, limited Lieury to just
two hits, both in the fourth inning,
which produced Lieury's only
run.
Lieury's pitchers allowed just
four Lucan hits in the game
called after six complete innings
because of rain.
In Rec league final play
Wednesday, Hardys staved off
elimination with a 15-12 victory
over Walloy-Hearn. Both teams
went scoreless in the first inning.

runs in the second inning and
another two in the third only to
have Walloy-Hearn tie the score
with five runs in the third.
Hardys then scored two runs in
the fourth and another two in the
fifth while Walloy-Hearn could
only manage one run in the
fourth.
In the sixth, both teams scored
five runs and the seventh inning
went scoreless. Pete Revington
led Hardys with two home runs, a
triple and a single while Don
Coughlin, Jeff Park and Tom
Hardy added two hits apiece.
Bob Hardy led the losers with a
homerun and a triple while Jeff
Craig and Don Henderson also
contributed two hits apiece.
