Bridal Shower Mrs. Ken Gunning hosted a family bridal shower in honour of Carol Wakeling on the weekend. The reunion of Muir relatives attended from Toronto, London, St. Marys, Exeter, Staffa, Hickson, Stratford, and Goderich, Ball News The senior girls advanced to the semi-finals best two out of three games. In the first game Tuesday night they played Blanshard at Kirkton ball park in an exciting game and lost 5 - 3, Wednesday night the local girls emerged the winners at Granton ball diamond in another close and exciting game 11 - 9. Both the Granton junior girls and the Bryanston senior men played in ball tournaments over the holiday weekend. The girls took part in the Usborne Twp. tournament at Kirkton and were beaten in both games they played. The senior men competed in two tournaments. They played Saturday at Goderich and Sunday night in Forest and were beaten in both games which knocked them out of further competition. year Mrs. A, Vanderminnen of Rotterdam, Holland is visiting with her son and family Mr. & Mrs. M. Events began with a smorgasbord lunch at noon, with a programme of business and sports following. Leo Haist, Pelham, was programme chairman; Wilmar Wein, secretary; Everett Haist in charge of facilities; Mrs. Ed Hendrick, table convener; Mrs. Stan Frayne, sports convener, Mrs. Mose Haist, Pigeon, Michigan, 89 years old, *as awarded the prize for the oldest member present. Personals Mr. & Mrs. W. Brennan and family enjoyed a five-week holiday in Southern Ireland. They saw many changes since their visit to the island four years ago. That visit was marred by cool weather, This summer they encountered ideal conditions, Mrs, Earl Whalen, Derick Whalen and Steve English, Petawawa, spent the past week with Mr. & Mrs. Sam King.
