CARMEL ' Mr. & Mrs. Parry Thompson has returned from a three day bus trip which took them to the Thousand Islands, including a boat trip on to Morrisburg and Upper Canada Village. Personals Mr. & Mrs. Paul Thompson visited last weekend in Detroit with Mr. & Mrs. Ron Withers. Tracy was a guest with her grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Howard Percival, Sarnia. Mrs. Gerald Hodgins and Judy Hodgins visited in Toronto for a few days last week and visited with friends, Paul Dietrich left by plane to visit in Winnipeg for two weeks with Mr & Mrs. Wm. Patterson and .girls'. Visitors over tha weekend with Mrs. Mary Trainor were Mrs. ;Lorne' 'Thomson -"a tid"—Ifeathr Trainor, St. Thomas; - Cheryl Trainor, London; Richard of Hamilton, and Mr. & Mrs. Earl Creemer, Mass. Mrs. Gladys Hall, London; Mrs, Adelaide Hall, Detroit; Mr. & Mrs. Johnny Hall and daughter Vancouver, were guests of Mr. & Mrs. John Hall and family recently. Mr. & Mrs. Parry Thompson visited on Wednesday last with Mrs. Doris Clemas at her cottage in Grand Bend._ Mr. & Mrs. Richard Muggee and son, Chatham spent the weekend with Mr. & Mrs. Charlie Dietrich. Chuck Dietrich returned home with them for a .week's holiday. Mrs. Lynda Thompson and Tracy and Mrs. Joe Regier and son are holidaying at the latter's cottage near Ipperwash. Rev. Father Basil Glavin visited with his mother, Mrs. Chas. Glavin and her family before leaving for his new parish in Ottawa. HAMILTON HODGINS WHALEN Several ladies went on the Kirkton Horticulture bus trip Saturday to Brantford. They visited the Bell Homestead, Mohawk Village and several parks to see the flowers. Mr. & Mrs. Earl French and Mr. & Mrs. Bill Morley spent Sunday at a family gathering at Mr. & Mrs. Howard Morley's cottage at Grand Bend. Mr. & Mrs. Earl French visited Saturday evening with Mr. & Mrs. Fred Mardlin, Wesley. Mr. & Mrs. Bob McRobert London were Sunday visitors with Mr. & Mrs. Charles McRobert Mr. & Mrs. Macintyre and family, St. George were Sunday visitors with Mr. & Mrs. Cecil Squire. Mr. & Mrs. Larry Hern at- tended the wedding dance for Mr. & Mrs. Michael O'Shea, Saturday night at the Ivanhoe. DAVID KESTLE CLANDEBOYE Mrs. Gerry Noyes and the Clandeboye girls base ball team want all those who came out to their ball games to know how much they appreciated the support that was given at the games. The boys ball team from Clandeboye; they feel they aren't getting enough support this year. Mrs. H. Rosch is spending a week in Halifax N.S. visiting her sister and brother-in-law. Personals Mr. Rosch, Sylvia, Reynold and Marcel enjoyed the chicken barbecue at Wildwood Park, Sunday afternoon sponsored by the Sailing Club. Mr. and Mrs. J. Robertson have received word from their son George, that he has arrived at his destination and has begun his studies at the University of British Columbia. Andrew Robertson is also in B.C., he is holidaying and has been picking fruit in the Okanagan Valley. Kim Newman and Carol Cunningham spent a few days helping to extract the honey at the Kestle Honey Farm. Dorothy Cunningham is spending this week also helping. There is a bit more honey than first an- ticipated. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Simpson and family, London and Mr. and Mrs. Murray Simpson and Tickets must be purchased in advance from the office in Kirkton before September 21, 1974. $3.50 per person. Mathew were Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. William Simpson. Mrs. Dorothy Joyce and Mrs. Pearl called to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Derbyshire on their way to Wiarton where they will spend the week. Joanne Carter spent the week with Paul and Rosemary Simp- son in Kirkton. Decoration Sunday will be at St, James Cemetery and Church services are at 2:30 p.m. at St. James Anglican Church. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Millson, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Millson were guests at the Parsons- Glavin wedding on Saturday,Mr. and Mrs. F. Stokoe and Mr. and Mrs. Prettie both from Toronto visited the Millsons on Monday. Friday Mr. and Mrs. J. Beckett, Kitchener called on Mr, and Mrs. C. Millson and their guests, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick from Sunrise, Kentucky. Mrs. Gerald Millson is on holidays this week. Mr. and Mrs. H. Murless report a wonderful holiday. They spent it in England with relatives and friends. They have purchased a larger mobile home and are preparing for their winter holiday, Alan McIver, London spent a few days last week in Clandeboye with his parents. A very large crowd of relatives and friends attended the Parsons- Glavin wedding and Carey- MacCormack Receptions last Saturday. Sister Margaret Hogan, Chatham and Mrs. Theresa Ducharme, Windsor spent a few days last week with Mr. & Mrs. Wilfred Hogan and Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Regier, Dashwood. Sister Theresa Mahoney, Windsor and her mother Mrs.. Veronica Mahoney, Exeter, visited on Sunday with friends in the village.
