Tindall were guests with the
Hirtzel girls, Parkhill over the
weekend.
Many from this community
attended the funeral on Monday
of the late Albert Dickies, son of
the late Mr, and Mrs. William
Dickies of this community. He
attended school at S.S. No. 2 and
St. Patrick's Church and Sunday
School.
The Davis-Dickies reunion
planned for last Sunday was
cancelled due to the death of Mr.
Dickins:
Mrs, Jessie Cox and great
granddaughter, Shelly Shantz,
New Hamburg visited their
cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Heber
Davis over the weekend.
Mrs. Raymond Greenlee,
Exeter spent the weekend with
their son and daughter-in-law,
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Greenlee.

Church Rev. Douglas Warren
preached his farewell sermon to
a large congregation, choosing as
his final word, verse 58 of the 15th
chapter of First Corinthians,
Special music was provided by
Rev. & Mrs. Warren, the choir
and Mrs. Peter Martin. Flowers
were from the wedding of
Gwenyd Finkbeiner and Charles
Nienkirchen. Mr. & Mrs. Lyle
Little were welcomed into the
fellowship of the church.

ducted the service at the
Bluewater Rest Home, Zurich,
Sunday evening. Mrs. Schlenker
and Mary Ellen, Mrs Walter
Fydenchuk and Ella Morlock
helped with the singing, Mrs. Ed
Finkbeiner playing the organ.

congregation. Ed Hendrick read
the address, William Schwartz
presented a cheque and Ted
Lamport a framed picture. A
woollen blanket was presented
to Mrs, Warren from the U.C.W.
The congregation then moved
downstairs for a time of lunch
and fellowship. The Warrens
leave this week for their home at
152 Elliott St., London, where
they will serve ROwntree
Memorial Church.
