Late summer weddings in many local ..churches
Marlborough St„ Exeter and the
groom's parents are Mr, and
Mrs. Harold Rowe of Exeter,
The ceremony was conducted
by Rev, Barry Robinson with the
groom's brother, Ross Rowe of
London as the organist, and
Robert Lammie of London as the
soloist.
Given away by her parents, the
bride wore a floor length white
sheer over a silk organza gown.
The neckline was accented by a
pleated ruffle and lace with a
blue ribbon. A sash at the
waistline formed a bow at the
back. The full skirt was also
gathered in the back to form the
flowing cathedral train, A full
length veil with lace edging was
held by a Juliette cap,
The bride's flowers were a
nosegay with white and blue
roses, love of the mist and baby's
breath,
Maid of honor was Lynda
Dougall of Exeter, cousin of the
bride, Bridal attendants were
Janet Coward, Woodham; Joyce
Kerslake, Exeter; Janice Johns,
Exeter and Debra Hern of
Exeter.
They were dressed alike in A-
line dresses with blue and mauve
flowered sheer over blue lining.
The dresses were sleeveless with
matching sheer cape and white
picture hats. They carried white
baskets of cornflower blue tinted
daisies and baby's breath.
The best man was Reiny
Frei ter of Dashwood with ushers,
Gerry Morgan, Hensall; Craig
Webber, Exeter; Larry Fulton,
Exeter and Noel Skinner, Exeter.
After the ceremony a meal was
served in the church basement
and a dance was held in the
Kiritton Community Centre. For
travelling the bride wore a two-
piece floor length suit with a
white picture hat and ac-
cessories,
The couple will reside at RR 1,
Woodham, The bride is employed
at the Bank of Nova Scotia and
the groom works for Aitcheson
Electric and Plumbing Ltd, in
Avonton.

Zion United Church was
decorated with white and yellow
shasta daisies for the double ring
wedding ceremony of Gwen
Finkbeiner to Charles Nienkir-
chen.
The bride is the daughter of
Mrs. Marguerite Finkbeiner, RR
1, Crediton and the groom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. William
Nienhirchen of Pembroke.
Rev. Doug Warren of Crediton
and Rev. Bill Smith of Pembroke
officiated. Mrs. Lois Rourke was
the organist and Sylvia Pitts of
Toronto was the soloist,
Given in marriage by her
mother, the bride wore a full
sheer gown over a white un-
derskirt. The gown was of a
flocked material with white
flocked daisies with yellow
centers. It was accented with an
empire waist long gathered
sleeves and a scoop neckline,
Her shoulder length veil was
held in place with white daisies.
She carried a white Bible.
Debbie Finkbeiner, sister of
the bride was the maid of honour.
She wore a long yellow gown
flocked with yellow daisies with
white centres and a yellow pic-
ture hat.
She carried a bouquet of yellow
and white daisies and baby's
breath.
Bruce Nienkirchen was the
best man and Darrel Finkbeiner
and Curtis Prins ushered the
guests.
Following the wedding a
reception was held in the church
basement, The wedding trip was
to the Western provinces.

Rev, Don Beck officiated at the
marriage of Pauline Grace Allan
and Ronald McBride in August at
Hensall United Church.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Garnet Allan of Hensall,
and the grooms parents are Mr,
and Mrs, Bert McBride of RR 1
Zurich. The church was
decorated with white candelabra,
bouquets of yellow daisies and
mums with white daffodils. Bob
Cameron of Hensall was the
organist.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a full
length gown, V-neckline and long
slim sleeves, with an empire
waist line, a full skirt with an
attached cathedral train in
Lagoda. The gown was accented
with seed pearls and pleated
ruffling on neckline, sleeves and
skirt, She carried a bouquet of
yellow roses with baby's breath.
The bride's veil was French silk
illusion finger tip falling from a
Juliet cap of guipure lace.
The bridal attendants . were
June Maxwell, Joan Allan, Judy
McBride, Kitchener, and flower
girl was Kathy McDonald of
Exeter. The maid of honor and
flower girl were dressed alike in
yellow swiss dot empire waist,
puffed sleeved dresses, The
bridesmaids wore blue swiss dot
halter dresses with matching
capes. They all wore white pic-
ture hats. Their flowers were
nosegays of yellow daisies and
white carnations.
The best man was Albert Brall
of Homesville and the ushers
were Lloyd Allan, brother of the
bride, and Wayne Beierling of RR
1 Zurich.
A reception and dance was held
in the Zurich Community Centre.
For a wedding trip to Ottawa
and Niagara Falls, the bride wore
a brown halter dress with mat-
ching jacket and white ac-
cessories.
The bride and groom will
reside at Goderich.

Beverly Anne Margaret
Shumka, daughter of Mr, and
Mrs. Nick Shumka, Litman ex-
changed wedding vows with
James Thomas Gagan, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Thomas Gagan,
Prospect Hill at a recent
ceremony.
St. Patrick's Church, Lucan
was decorated with baskets of
pink, white and mauve mums,
pink carnations and baby's
breath for the service which was
officiated by Rev, J. McGraw.
Frank Heenan played the
organ and Mrs. James McCarthy
of RR3, Granton was the soloist.
The bride was given in
marriage by her father and she
carried a bouquet of pink and
mauve carnations, mums and
baby's breath,
The maid of honour was Faye
Blair of Centralia. Bridesmaids
at the wedding were Cindy, Ellen
and Teresa Shumka and Dorothy
Garrett of Granton.
Ralph Ainge of Inwood was the
best man and George Gagan,
Bert Walker, Lyle Beatson and
Brad Kopenchenski ushered the
guests.
A wedding reception was held
at the Ukranian Centre in Lon-
don.
The couple left for a wedding
trip to Prince Edward Island.

Blanche Peter and Jack Cutting,
Huron Park, on August. 26, at Zion
Lutheran Church, Dashwood.
The bride is the daughter of the
late John and Mary Andrew,
formerly of Exeter, and the late
Mr. & Mrs. Wm. Cutting are
parents of the groom.
The bride wore a blue crim-
pline dress with a corsage of pink
rosebuds.
The bride's only attendant was
Mrs. Stanley Preszcator,
Crediton, who wore a navy blue
crimplene dress with a corsage of
red carnations and white rose
buds.
Stanley Preszcator Crediton,
was best man.
The reception was held at
Dashwood hotel,
The couple will reside at 138
Empress Ave., Huron Park.
