Your thoughtfulness will never be forgotten. — Marg Inson 33c "We've had our neck out a mile!" That was the comment of RAP chairman Gord Baynhare in explaining that volunteers who assist in the community's recreation programs have not been covered under the town's liability insurance policy as previously thought. He said council "led us down the garden path" in assuring us that volunteers were covered under the town's policy, The fact that they weren't came to light when RAP checked into insurance policies to provide Canadian Canners Ltd, with the assurance that they would not be held liable for any damages arising out of their agreement to allow part of their property to be used as a soccer field, RAP acted quickly to rectify the problem this week when they empowered their finance com- mittee to acquire the needed protection, A policy will be taken out covering all volunteers working for sporting groups under RAP's direction. A form to be signed by such groups and RAP states that the latter "will arrange for liability insurance coverage to protect the volunteers within organizations from liability claims". The agreement whereby the Minor Soccer Association will come under the umbrella of RAP also states that RAP will arrange the required facilities and provide their professional staff to assist when needed. RAP will also offer financial support through a grant system when required to maintain the solvency of the organization. In return, each group must present a list of their executive to RAP, provide a proposed budget at the opening of their season, periodic budget reports during the season, and a final budget rjhe Clittrches in the area Invite you to join them for Worship, Fellowship and Services 25th Wedding Anniversary Dance for AUDREY and DONALD MacGREGOR Sat., Aug. 17 8 p.m. CREDITON COMMUNITY CENTRE Everyone Welcome Reception and Dance for BARBARA PFAFF and CHARLIE JEFFREY ' (Bridal Couple) Sat., Aug. 17 9. 1 a.m. ZURICH COMMUNITY CENTRE Music by THE BLUEWATER PLAYBOYS Lunch Provided Everyone Welcome 1 admission per person No Reserve Seats 1 share the wealth Admission $1.00 for 15 Rounds Extra cards 25c each or 5/$1,00 Sponsored By Ladies' Auxiliary No One Under 16 Years of Age Will Be Admitted MMM . • SOAP BOX DERBY Mon., Sept. 2 1:00 p.m. Open to boys and girls up to age 16 Andrew St. Hill Beside Swimming Pool EXETER Several Classifications mu ..... mu llllllll mti llll muMumum0 lll l umU w/atoo.• IN ZURICH THE ROAD TO ARMAGEDDO • AVID WILKERSO SATs 41,101,151 24 Pancake and Sausage Breakfast Commencing at 8 a.m. NNE COOKED BEANS FAMOUS STREET MARKET Bean Queen Contest ponce In The Arena Saturday Night "THE MERCY BROTHERS" and "The Narboodites" doodiiiimoas e•dmitainstsod 0)64 kiSt . •••I AUTHOR OF "THE CROSS AND THE SWITCHBLADE" A movie you will never -forget!
