Mrs. Ward Forrest, the former
Lily Grace Dalrymple of RR 1,
Zurich passed away in South
Huron Hospital Exeter on
Monday August 5 in her 69th
year.
She was the wife of the late
Henry Ward Forrest, and mother
of Mrs. Gordon (Marion) McNutt
of RR 1, Zurich, Mrs. Delton
(Margaret) Burkhart, Wingham;
Don of Clinton; and predeceased
by one daughter Grace (Mrs,

W1 seeks leaders
for new 4-H club
A bylaw for the fencing of
swimming pools was passed
Tuesday night at the August
meeting of the llensall Council.
The bylaw provides regulations
for size and type of fencing to be
used on permanent private
swimming pools in the village.
Council concurred with a
motion by the Council of the Town
of Orangeville that requested the
provincial government to exempt
municipalities from sales tax on
all capital expenditures.
A bylaw, circulated by the
County of Huron to restrict the
destruction of trees in the county
was approved by council. Under

last week with Mr. & Mrs. Gordon

couver visited this week with Mr.

Graham is retiring from the
services after being in the ser-
vices twenty years.

of Stratford were recent visitors
with Mrs. Grace McEwen.
Mr. & Mrs. Bev Hamilton spent
a few days last week in Nashville,
Mrs. Laird Mickle spent a few
days last week in Ridgetown,
guest of Mr. & Mrs. George
Mickle and was there for the
smorgasbord dinner in their
home on Monday evening. They
also entertained some of the
Mickle relatives from Sylvania
and Toledo Ohio and Chicago who
were holidaying at Rondeau
Park.
Mrs. Kervin Werner of London
visited on Friday with Mrs. Laird
Mickle.
Honoured for
lengthy service
After 20 and a half years 01
service to the company Don
McKaig was honored Friday at
Bendix Home Systems Ltd. in
Hensall.
He was presented with an easy
chair and a clock from the
company and the employees.
Mr. McKaig worked in the
cabinet shop building dinette
sets for the better part of his
employment.
E. R. Brunsdon, general
manager said at the presentation
that Mr. McKaig was an example
employee in all respects.
He is very particular in his
work, has an excellent at-
tendance record and tremendous
ability said Mr. Brunsdon.
Mr. McKaig plans to spend
time on his hobby, carpentering
and will be restoring and building
furniture in his garage.

The union church service was
held in Carmel Presbyterian
Church on Sunday at 11 a.m,
Conducted by Rev. Malcolm Muth
of North Battleford Sask., who
delivered an inspiring message.
Guest soloist Mrs. William
Taylor sang "Let There Be Peace
on Earth" accompanied by Mrs.
Malcolm Dougall at the organ.
The Couples Club wiener roast
is tentatively set for August 15 at
8:00 p.m. at the home of Mr. &
Mrs. Bert Thompson.
Holy Communion at
St. Pauls
Holy Communion was ad-
ministered by the Rev. G. A.
Anderson of St. Pauls Anglican
Church on Sunday morning.
Mr, Harry Horton was the
