Dining Room Licensed Under 1180 Accident victims covered in paint Lateen OPP investigated nine accidents this week resulting in $12,995 worth of damage and some serious injuries. Last Thursday at 7:25 at the intersection of Middlesex County Rd. 5 and County Rd. 2 & 3 in McGillivray Twp. two trucks, one belonging to the firm of Waechter Spray Painting, collided, Raymond Waechter of RR 4, Walkerton was taken to South Huron Hospital by Hoffman ambulance. He suffered frac- tures and other serious injuries. His truck suffered $2,000 worth of damage and no gallons of paint were destroyed, worth $3,500. Passenger in the truck. was Paul Joseph Kittel also of RR 4, Walkerton, John Joseph Glavin, RR 2, Lucan, driver of the other truck suffered cuts and bruises. The vehicle was damaged to the extent of $1,000. Constable D. R. Vance investigated. On July 24 at 12:10, five-year- old John Christopher of 127 Market St. in Lucan was on his bicycle when it collided with a car driven by Edward Ryan, RR 1, Lucan. John was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in London with cuts and bruises. The accident took place on Queen St., Lucan and Constable J. A. Wilson investigated. At 7:30 p.m. the same day a motorcycle skidded into the gravel at the intersection of Middlesex Rd. 20 and Conc. 5 & 6, London Twp. Emo Avo Ristmae, 322 Brock St. London suffered cuts and bruises. His bike was damaged to the extent of $200. Constable B. D. Munroe investigated. On July 26 at 3 p.m. Andrew Scott Revington of 71 Elm St., London was taken to University Hospital by Lucan ambulance ' with cuts and bruises after his bicycle ran into a kaplun trailer, Edward Joseph Breen, 71 Elm St., London was the owner of the vehicle pulling the trailer. Constable Wilson in- vestigated the Lucan's Main St. At 11 p.m. on July 27 on Hwy. 4, south of the Lucan east limits in Ridduiph Twp., two vehicles collided causing $375 worth of damage. Drivers involved were James G. Miller of 840 Valetta St., London and Peter Otvos, 104 Askin St., London. Constable Vance was the investigating officer, On Hwy. 7, west of the Thames River Bridge in Blanshard Twp., three cars, two of them pulling trailers were involved in a rear- end collision at -2:30 p.m. on Sunday. Involved were David Richard Evans, 1541 Western Rd., Lon- don: Dean Glenney, 430 Queen St. East, St. Marys and Donald Andrew Gillies, 1511 Harbrooke Ave., Ann Arbor, Michigan. Constable Wilson, the in- vestigating officer, estimated damages at $3,050. Two accidents occurred on Monday. At 2:10 a.m. a car went off the shoulder of the road and then rolled on Hwy. 4 north of Cone. 8 & 9, London Twp. Robert Michael Laidlow, 23 Connaught Ave., London was the driver and Gabrielle Deueber of 815 Talbot St., London was the passenger. She suffered cuts and bruises. Damage was estimated at $1,700, At 9:20 p.m. two cars collided at the Lucan baseball park. Drivers were David H. Johnston, 189 Frank St,, Lucan and David D. Garrett, RR 3, Granton. Damage was $325, Constable Vance investigated. On Tuesday at the junction of Hwy. 4 and 7 at Elginfield, two vehicles collided at 6:45 a.m. Drivers were Carol M. Connor, RR 2, London and Randi Gordon Watt, 42 Parry Sound Rd., Parry Sound, Damage was $400 to each vehicle. Ray Brewster spoke from John 4, saying that when we have met Jesus and accepted Him we should be so happy, we tell others to "Come see a man", as the woman of Samaria did. At the evening service the roles were reversed with Mr. Brewster leading the singing and Bill giving the message. Speaking from 2nd Corinthians 6 he said that, when we become Christians, the old life dies out because of Jesus dying for us, and we take on a new life. A very special "Homecoming" service of worship will be held next Sunday evening at 7 p.m. when the Rev. Fred P. Thomson, a former pastor of Foothills Bible Institute, Winfield, Alberta, and the Western Conference Superintendent, will be the guest speaker.
