THOMPSON — In loving memory of
a dear son and brother, William
Joseph, who passed away six years
ago, July 27.
Two little hands are resting
A loving heart is still,
A little son we loved is waiting
For us just over the hill.
The memory of his dear wee ways
Will linger with us all our days,
Sweetest flower, too sweet to stay,
od took him away.
Lovingly remembered by Mom,
Dad and Cindy. 30p

IN MEMORIAM —
CORNISH — In loving memory of my
dear wife, Edith., Lorna, who passed
away 17 years ago, July 24.

A life linked with my own,
And day by day I miss her more,
As I walk through life alone.
Ever remembered by her husband,
Alvin. 30c
DOBBS — In loving memory of a
dear son, James Arthur Dobbs, who

mother. 30p
HEWITT — In loving memory of our
parents, Mrs, W. J. Hewitt who pass-
ed away in Exeter July 26, 1970 and
our father who passed away in Pilot
Mound, Manitoba, October 4, 1948.
Gone are the days we used to share,
But in our hearts you are always
there.
The gates of memory will never close
We miss you more than anyone
knows.
With tender love and deep regret,
We who loved you will never forget.
Too dearly loved ever to be
forgotten by daughters Lyda Gandier
and Ruby Hogarth and families. 30p
LEE — In loving memory of a dear
wife and mother, Darlene who passed
away five years ago July 23, 1969.
Gone is the face we loved so dear,

Too far away for sight or speech,
But not too far for thought to reach.
Always remembered by her hus-
band Russell and son David, 30p
LEE — In loving memory of a dear
daughter-in-law and sister-in-law,
Darlene.

family. 30p
LEE — Treasured memories of a
/dear daughter and sister,. Darlene
(Frayne) Lee who left us so suddenly
five years ago, July 23, 1969.
If only we could see you Dar.
Your hand we could but touch,
And hear you say "hello" to us
Things wouldn't hurt so much.
Our hearts still ache with sadness,
Our eyes shed many a tear,
Only God knows how much we miss
you,
And wish that you were here,
We often think of by-gone days,
When we were all together,
The family chain is broken now,
But memories live forever.
Sadly missed and lovingly
remembered by Mom, Dad, Harold,
Helen, Marlene and their
families. 30c
MILLS — In loving memory of
Clarence (Duff) Mills who left us
July 31, 1969.
There's a lot in our lives that is

Is our memories of you.

and children. 30p
SWARTZ — In loving memory of a
dear mother and grandmother, Lulu
Swartz, who passed away 10 years

Nothing but memories as we journey
on,
Longing for a smile from a loved one
gone,
None knows the depth of our deep
regret,
But we remember when others
forget.
Lovingly remembered by Ron,
Helen, Nancy, Barbara, Brenda and
Patti. 30p

Playground Patter
By ANN PINDER
' Last Wednesday's Playday at
Clinton proved to be quite an
experience, not only for the
children but, for the leaders as
well.
The senior girls' team fared the
best of the teams taken from
Exeter.
Thanks are extended to the
volunteers who went along.
This week is proving to be busy
with two special events planned.
A trip to the Grand Bend Zoo is
planned for Thursday morning
and everyone is looking forward
to being entertained by a group
from Stratford on Friday.
The Stratford Youth Theatre
will be presenting a play for
children based on the theme of
the circus. They will also be
holding a workshop after the
performance for the children.
Just a reminder that everyone
is invited to join us at the com-
munity centre at 10:00 on Friday
morning to see the play.
Hope to see you there.
Friday night, the Corbett and
Zurich pee weer tangle in a
softball contest, while on
Saturday, the Zurich rec league
all stars will battle with the
Lieury club in a fasthall game.
Two of the features which
proved so popular last year are
back on the agenda according to
George Tiernan. The tug-of-war
contest will be held along with the
arm wrestling competition,
The Mt. Carmel team have
their entry in top shape to defend
the tug-of-war title.
Last year's arm wrestling
champs are also ready to take on
all corners. Stan Haist, Lawrence
Becker and Robert Miller won
the three divisions in 1973 and
have been tearing Toronto
telephone directories into small
pieces for the past couple of
months to keep in shape,
