Playground Patter By ANN PINDER ' Last Wednesday's Playday at Clinton proved to be quite an experience, not only for the children but, for the leaders as well. The senior girls' team fared the best of the teams taken from Exeter. Thanks are extended to the volunteers who went along. This week is proving to be busy with two special events planned. A trip to the Grand Bend Zoo is planned for Thursday morning and everyone is looking forward to being entertained by a group from Stratford on Friday. The Stratford Youth Theatre will be presenting a play for children based on the theme of the circus. They will also be holding a workshop after the performance for the children. Just a reminder that everyone is invited to join us at the com- munity centre at 10:00 on Friday morning to see the play. Hope to see you there. Friday night, the Corbett and Zurich pee weer tangle in a softball contest, while on Saturday, the Zurich rec league all stars will battle with the Lieury club in a fasthall game. Two of the features which proved so popular last year are back on the agenda according to George Tiernan. The tug-of-war contest will be held along with the arm wrestling competition, The Mt. Carmel team have their entry in top shape to defend the tug-of-war title. Last year's arm wrestling champs are also ready to take on all corners. Stan Haist, Lawrence Becker and Robert Miller won the three divisions in 1973 and have been tearing Toronto telephone directories into small pieces for the past couple of months to keep in shape,
