Emerson Mylalsingh, his wife arid children. Rev. Mylalsingh delivered the scripture lesson and led in prayer. Personals Brenda and Heather Riddell daughters of Mr. & Mrs. Jack Riddell were holidaying with their grandmother Mrs. Joseph Bryan this past week. Gordie Mills of the village has gone on a one week holiday to Ottawa with Mrs. Ted Wilson and daughter Tracey. While in Ottawa they plan on visiting the Parliament buildings. Rosemarie McRobert is staying with her grandmother Mrs. Elmer Harlton while she is recuperating from her recent eye operation. Mr. & Mrs. Allan Wissel and children are leaving this weekend on a two week auto trip out east. Mr. & Mrs. William Ban- nerman, Steven and Andra travelled by train to Toronto one day last week. While in Toronto they visited the Ontario Science Centre and were surprised to meet Mr. & Mrs. Ross Gregory and family, former residents of Granton. Mr. & Mrs. Ward Ellyatt, daughter Patty and girlfriend Dawn Lynn Thompson were camping for the weekend at Long Point. Visitors with Mr. & Mrs. Elmer Harlton Saturday were Winnie Harlton, Tom Stewart and Mrs. Gordon Smith all of London. Jerry Klumpers and daughter, Phylis formerly of Granton are flying on a one week holiday to Holland where they will be visiting relatives. Mr. & Mrs. Steve Rooney and family visited Sunday with Mr. & Mrs. William Pennington at Pinehurst camping grounds near Ipperwash. The Pennington's have rented a camp site there for the summer months. Busy Week in Granton Ball Park The junior girls ball team played two games last week both in Granton. Monday night Granton beat Hibbert in a high scoring game 34-27. Wednesday night Granton played Thames Road which ended in a tie 31.31, The senior girls who were to play Munro Wednesday night at Granton won by default as Munro could not field a team. Thursday night at Granton ball diamond the local girls took quite a beating against Exeter. The Exeter girls won with a score of 28-5. The Bryanston men coached by Les Parnall played three games at Granton ball park last week. Tuesday night they beat Nairn with a score of 6-3. Friday night against the Lucan Irish they lost in a high scoring game 11-4. Saturday night they played an exhibition game against the London Umpires Association, Four women played on the umpires team and certainly held their own hitting and fielding against the men. They played pitcher, catcher, first and second base positions. The final score was 9-3 in favour of Bryanston. Bryanston plays all their scheduled home games Tuesday night in Granton ball park starting at 9:00 p.m. Besides his coaching duties Les Parnall is also looking after the maintenance of the ball park this year and is doing an excellent job.
